From what I heard theres a few ways to go about it... Ive only had mine for a month now and I bought so far .... Vforce reeds Lightened the flywheel Advanced the timing Rocket pipes on the way soon K&N air filters I havent really installed them yet but this is the usual setup people start with. After this youll probably wanna get more serious with a bore and stuff like that. As you mod it more youll realize things dont get cheaper lol

OH haha also one thing I noticed is that my left spark plug the harness kept slipping off and I would be able to tell everytime it happend.(obviously) I realizd the little cap on top of the plugs were gone on that side. I went and bought new NGK br8es or whatever they are plugs and it runs so much better now. I have a feeling this quad wasnt too well taken care of but it still runs good.

Thanks guys hehe. I know search ive been searchin all day felt it was time to just make a post and at leat talk to someone cause searches get old but i know the same posts get old too hehe. Ill check out the carbs then.. I have vforce3 reeds on the way and new heads/flywheel so when i do thos ill have to check inside there. Ill have to figure how to install everything cause i havent worked on a quad before so it will be fun

Well I was riding up northing (flagstaff area) this weekend and I have 2 of the cone K&N airfilters for my intake. The rest of the bike is stock cept the exhaust that I dont even know what kind it is... Ill post pics tonight So anyways I was riding and I noticed when my power band would hit my bike didnt go anywere after that and it was bothering me so I took the seat off and one of the filters was just laying on the engine . So i had a little bit of dirt around the carb... Is that going to be a big problem? I cleaned the surface of the carb right away. It ran fine for the day and even the next. Also when we were hauling it back to the house I noticed a pool of coolant (green). I noticed the coolant level was at the low line and I know it was above half when we got there. What do you guys think?

another question similar to this... Can you adjust your timing if the bike is stock or do you have to purchase a aftermarket timing plate to do it? I got my flywheel lightened and I have reeds/heads on the way and wanted to do the timing after I get those on...

So far I ordered Vforce2 reeds... I might buy this trinity lightened flywheel I saw forsale cause I really dont want to take mine out and leave it around cause I keep it at my friends house. id rather just order one and pop it in Im ordering toomey t'5 or t'6 when I get paid friday. Is there much difference with the t'5s to the t'6s. After that the noss heads ill probably get and mess with the timing.

hehe its no problem... I know its different from what I do but im familiar with going fast I do lots of street/coarse and F1 cart racing. Its time for the dirt now

Nice Are the Noss machine heads pretty good Items then? Im thinking about getting those and doing the flywheel first. Im not sure what pipes are on it right now but ill find out... And also the reeds what are the top of the lines? I see vforce 2 reeds all the time were could I get them at? And also messing with the timing are there any write ups on that? Im so used to a car its kinda funky working on this lol.

Oh and also I wanted to do a little bit of extending like witht he frame and such. I dont want it to be a dragster but in between ill be doing allot of duning soon if that gives anyone an idea for which way to approach it.

Sup guys im new to the forums... I recently bought a 2001 shee from a friend in the family. Ive ridden it 1 time so far Its pretty damn fast seeing how the only thing I ever rode before was a 300ex (friends). So im wanting to mod it cause im into that with cars why not the banshee!! Im not sure whats done to it right so. I know for sure im going to get the flywheel lightened from whoever does it here on the forums And I was told to advance the timing along with that. What else to you guys recomend? I saw the nossman heads on his website are those a good part to start out with? Anything I would appreciate it
