yep after the bore I put in the wiesco piston kit and the Nossmachine head (21cc) and just the pipes and K&N's. Before I did this I was having troubles starting and it died at idle some times. I took it apart and there was a chunk missing off the top of the right piston So I got the bore done at a local shop here then the kit and put her all back together and dynoed it. Its been at least a month since I rebuilt it though and I just dynoed yesterday. For about 200 bucks its very worth it now you can see the numbers.

The description in the pic are my mods. I just did a .02 bore and a wiseco kit. Also the pipes I have came with it they are aftermarket but I have no clue what they are. It just says atv racing on them so its pretty generic I guess. I hope to maybe gets some t5's or Cpi pipes im not sure. What do you think of the power/tq for what i have?

From what I found from researching was 20ftlbs just like the stock. Thats what I did with my new head and top end. Runs perfect and its been 3 weeks now.

well it was 60 bucks i thought it was decent.... oh well i guess its ok to sell parts that dont work.. but anyways it broke off the stud just flush with the head so its not sticking up past the hole.

Ok now im really mad. After rebuilding the engine this month I finally reached the last part of bolting the new noss head down and I set the tq to 1lb and it snapped it right off Checkers is going to get it about this wrench because I cant tq anything it wont give away. I ever tried on my car and it just keeps pulling with me. So now whats my choices im broke and pissed off....... God i was looking forward to starting it today.

well actually I just went a got my cylinders ported just a .020 over stock. It cost me 100 dollars in arizona here. Only took 2 days as well they did very well. The piston kit (wiesco with gasket set) was 140 on top of that and I put it together and such. Thats about what ur looking at between that and the gas / oil to run through it.

ya dude dont give that up... Its nice and convienant for the new bikes and such but still every time I ride those then hop back on my shee... its just the way it should be haha.

If I were to go 4 stroke it would be a honda 450R.. Damn that bike is bad. I raced one when i went to the dunes for the first time and it was ahead of me right out of the hole about 3 lengths... it took me till end of 4th to catch him and i passed him in 6th so thats pretty damn good.

well i know that I have a hard time starting my shee (2001 stock internals) and I checked my compress and it was just over 90 which isnt good. It runs beautifully though once shes going as well. I havent looked into it yet though... Im going to order noss heads then check the pistons and cylinders. A rering might do the job but if not a simple topend rebuild will be in place Wiseco pistons and rings yadda yadda. Then get the cylinders honed back to perfection to match the cylinders. Also gotta check the fuel (pilot/jet)

Yea you guys are right. If i dont ride for a week it takes like 10 kicks to get it going. But then I would have no troubles starting it the next day or the day after. Actually it runs pretty damn good and idles great now I did a little tune up with the carbs and filters and oil and such. I think ill be just fine for the dunes and im definently going to do a new topend when i get back. One more question... Are the wiseco rebuilt kits the way to go?

My elevation is around 1000 I believe (phx, az) Ill be at sea level though this weekend (glamis). So think I could do those rings up real quick then?

Ya i really wanted to do one but I just tested it on saturday and im leaving friday morning so I have no time And its going to be my first time at the dunes so I really want to go haha.. After im definetly going to rebuild it... Are the wiseco rebuild kits the way to go? Thanks for the help!!

Im going to the dunes for 4 days this weekend and I have a 2001 banshee. I have Pipes, Vforce3 reeds, K&N setup, and flywheel. I havent redone the engine and I run 32:1 mix. Im in arizona and I havent rejeted it since I bought it last year. It runs good here but takes a little bit to start some times. (when ihavent ridden in a while) Well I did a test and it just made it over 95psi Am I at risk for the dunes??? Let me know what you think. But its definently a new topend time huh?

I run yamahalube 32:1 91octane. Ive been running it for a year this way in arizona. I havent broughten it to the dunes yet but I think im going to leave it the same when I do.

whats the best way for me to get there? its my first time and im coming from phx. I take the I-10 to blythe then were is it from there? Whats the best or most common camp to head to? Any info I would appreciate it

sup dude. Im going to be there more around 2.18 It will be my first time too. I could use a guide lol Reason for that date is just because Ill have a 4 day weekend cause of presidents day so it works perfect.
