  1. While we are on the subject (i'm glad troyboy brought it up...), my shee also std with now 310 main jets, PC platinum pipes & silencers and dura blue airfilter with no lid. My mix at the moment is 40:1, i am using TTS 2 stroke oil(castrol product and best synthetic oil on the market - by us at least ) and running 95 octane leaded, as per manufacturers instruction on the tank. The bike goes like hell , but it struggles with cold start. It really takes about 10 kicks to get it started (with choke out) and then it idles and dies and i have to go through same procedure again, untill there is enough heat to get the revs up - from there it's perfect. What worries me is the lean/rich issue...i spoke to the mechanic that services my shee and did the built over from stock (then it started very easy)to current(starts very easy once warm and riding - 1 kick sitting), and he said i must bring it in as it might be the air screw that needs turning... plse give me some comments - i'm at sea level, and temp ranges from 15-30 degrees celcius PS: I will try the choke thing when i'm out riding again this wend..tks superchicken
  2. nice...
  3. std with pipes the manufacturer indicates on the fuel tank "unleaded premium", but obviously the work done on your shee might require something else. Off hand would think the above would definitely be a safe bet...IMO
  4. word
  5. sorryPolish, i beg to differ whendoing serious duning and when climbing tall & high dunes, the stocks are useless IMO omly.
  6. how often do you have to pack it?
  7. supercoop, if you don't want new pipes, i know that sredish has some paul turners that is tsill working great. maybe send him a pm and see what comes out?
  8. and i almost forgot - the durtraks are almost identical to the bearlclaws from Kenda. One direction sand and the other mud/gravel if you want i can post a close up..
  9. we run 95% dunes, and 5% dirt and dry river beds. i recently bought tires and the same question - do i go for padles or more of an all-rounder? by us the guys use mainly 3 types: Kenda - Bearclaw (6ply rating and quite heavy) Maxxis - RAZR (very good alrounder - not my choicethough) MAxxis - Surtrak (The one i chose) The surtak is a 2ply tire(which is fine, as you can't get too many punctures in the dunes and as such not that heavy. it hooks up like mad. only neagtive thing - it nly comes in 22x11x9 not smaller, and std shee is acyuall 20x10x9..but for this you can reduce front sprocket to 13tooth and you'll be sorted. i am still tunning a 14 tooth, gears longer better top speed and it works for me..
  10. what's up with a bit of noise anyhow???
  11. dEcon, a stock motor with pro circuits would work better than worked engine? what is pro circuits buildt for mid/top or bottom? i find they do well in the dunes, but this is my first set and i am still learning... tks
  12. 60km on 12 litres sounds about right. I get similar to that, usually use about 18 litres on 90kms...(STD shee, Pro circuit pipes and aftermarket filter - no lid) Hey, we ride them cause we love them, not because they are light in the fule dept...
  13. tks sredish, plse look at this picture and advise whether these are chrome pipes? sorry, i'm not too sharp with this also what does "000 wool" mean. is it a special fine wool, and what do you use with it?
  14. that 2nd hand or new?
  15. Pics posted on image forum...enjoy
  16. I have the following pipes on my shee: Pro circuit 304 Factory sound Stainless series Not sure if this means anything, but would liketo know if you guys can help me with the following: 1.How many different types of PC are there (Design wise, i know that FMF for instance has Gnarlys, Fatties etc) 2.What are horsepower gains expected on a std shee using 310 jets (more or less) 3.What is the STD shee horsepower output? tks
  17. Thos pipes looking very nice and shiny. how did you get them that clean? tks
  18. WORD
  19. Just bought a set of used pipes. Pro-Circuit (racing sound) factory series, Stainless steel - Something like that... How do i get them nice and shiny? there are no rust on it, but would like to know what i can use to clean them up with once i am done riding. tks
  20. For duning - there's only ONE - BANSHEE with pipes (at least). Further modifications may cause serious bodily harm... For Wheelies - Raptor is easier, but who wants it easy anyway???
