  1. At last!! I found some pipes for my shee!! I paid USD 540.00 for Pro-circuit pipes, dura-blue air filter and 280 jets (Not sure if this pilot or main? - help plse) Quite expensive, what would the same setup cost in the states? A couple of questions: Shee still std apart from what is listed above. Can i run the airbox open? without a lid? This is what te mechanic who's doing the buil;d over is telling me. The dura blue filter seems very solid and not too many chances of anything going through there..plse advise as this worrying me quite a bit...
  2. very intersting point - must admit, i have never thought about it..we also mainly do duning our side of africa. just fitted two new maxxis surtaks. do you think neccessary at all to line them up? will it improve grip? or maybe reduce tire wear? also what is the optimum pressure to run it? (22x11x9) tks
  3. DEFINITELY INTERESTED IN THE T5's (see my postings in wanted forum...) can you PM me - i am not sure how it works.. Plse help me out here - i'm deperate...

    PIPES

Just joined BansheeHQ, and am hoping this site is the answer to all my headaches. All i see on this site is banshee with nice shiny PIPES!!!! Someone plse help - really a shee freak, but can not afford prices that is cahrged locally. appreciate
  5. sredish, plse let me know on those fatty's. tks
  6. tks. believe the claw are quite a bit heavier than the surtraks. i'll let you know how well mine goes.
  7. Hi there! can you send in some pic's? Sitting in Africa and desperately need some pipes ASAP. We can't get them here at a decent price. dealers are redicolous... will you ship them all the way to Walvis Bay, Namibia? (Next to South AFrica on the western side... )
  8. quick question: i have seen claws as well as surtrak's. are they both manufactured by MAXXIS? and i must say they look exactly alike. what is the difference? (ply rating?) tks
  9. hi, i'm writing from Africa. where do i get hold of new/2nd hand toomey pipes in the states? they are very expensive ours, and as with most enthusiasts i do not have all that much dough... tks...
  10. we mainly do duning our side (BIG dunes) - posting some pics soon...i have just bought and fitted by new 22x11x9 MAXXIS surtak's. haven't had time to go and test them. They are 2 ply and weigh approx 9.5 kgs each. my shee is std with stock gearing. will see how it goes, otherwise i will also go to a 13 tooth sprocket. will keep you posted on the results
  11. tks boet. do you have a banshee and what pipes do you have on it? my shee still std except the tires...currently running 230 jets. not into major nod's, only looking for pipes - that will be enough for me - for the moment anyways.. what did you pay for your pipes delivered? i've got contacts and can get it to Nam for free. a second hand set will also do...(i'm depsperate - and broke!!)
  12. Tks man! If only i could find oiutr what they cost your side, then i can bring them in with DHL. (the money i can send via a bank transfer. i have seen on a website the toomey 6 pipe with all filters and jets for USD 699.00 - that is more or less NAD 4900.00 our side. plse let me know if possible at all? furthermore, have meanwhile recieed my MAXXI'S (Surtrax), and are raring to go soonest. will definitely take some pics this w/end and ost it here. The MAXXI'S are only 2-ply rated as we only do duning and there are no dangers of punctures - this also makes the a bit lighter...
  13. ************ tks man, but do you need to rejet after this or sinply adjust air? at the moemnt my pocket not too deep so looking to max with what i've got. To buy toomey pipes this side of the world would probably cost US $ 2000!!! now you huys probab;y understand why i can't afford it just yet...i'm a bit of a banshee greak(as most of us r..), and need to get more speed & power i will be gone for about 10 days, so plse be patient(fetching my new maxxis in Cape town South Africa), but as soon as i get back i promise to send in awesome pics of our dunes - m/whjile have fun all of you!!
  14. Hi guys/girls! Glad to be able to join this brilliant site! I am writing form Namibia (Africa) and have std banshee. Have now bought new Maxxis Surtak's - hopefully that can help with the duning...i will upload pic's soon to show you guys what REAL dunes look like. One question though: without pipes(for the moment), how can i increase my power? bymeans of jetting? - we rare at sea-level. If so, what size jets and can i do airbox conversions? tks
