  1. 21cc domes cut for a 4mm crank for 92 octane pump gas went to higher compression for 110 octane fuel. $50 shipped
  2. they're sold
  3. believe I bought them from KenR something or other from here. I have 100% feedback on ebay with 32 transactions, dunno what to tell ya other than that. got screwed over buying a frame from a dipshit ex-member here, so I know what you fear. I think if I was gonna f' up my rep here, e2s, etc it would be for a set of cubs or something more worthwhile....rather than a set of stock carbs
  4. Stock Carbs that have been Bored TORS Removal Kit installed Toomey Needles 30 pilots Jets from 270-340, 330 installed now Currently installed on my bike and work fine. Bought some PWK's, so don't need them anymore. $65 shipped SOLD
  5. unless you have an account with them, the shipping charges are gonna be steep through ups or fedex, because they'll nail you for the size. when you have a shipping account, the cost is tied only to the weight. you can ship it via greyhound for about $75. you and the customer will probably have to drive upward of 20 miles to pick it up at a station, but it will arrive within 2 or 3 days.
  6. I'd say it depends on what paddles you're gonna run. 20 inch haulers, you could get away with the 15/41 gearing. Bigger than that, you're probably gonna want to run a 14 tooth front sprocket for 2nd gear holeshots.

    what gear

    2nd
  8. was watching a bike dyno'd with some shearer out of frames, and i've never experienced that kind of pain in my life. i could feel my ear drums vibrating that sound just resonated in my ear. i do, however like the sound of my CPI in frames. they have more of a howling sound. my buddy tells me every time I pull up on him when he's on his 250r that he loves the sound of it.
  9. good advice from dlnoss (who didn't even sell you the head, btw). always be a bit conservative with your motor. it'll pay off in the end.
  10. compression guages differ substantially in their readings. i wouldn't get too hung up until i compared it against another bike. but 4th gear starts? c'mon, man, not unless you're running R/C tires on your shee
  11. ebay seems to have a couple of them at a time for sale. your mileage may very, so just try to be careful on your purchase
  12. if you still have the TORS on top of the stock carbs, it's about impossible to change your jets without pulling them all the way out. if you decide to change your jets without pulling the carbs, just be sure you don't bend the float level tab. it would be very easy to do.
  13. and i didn't realize he was talking about the 450f either...doh
  14. I think YZFtech did a pretty indepth comparison between cams with a piped, mildly ported 450. Seemed like HP was between 42 and 47 HP. From the words of several of the people involved in the testing, they stated that after that the return on your investment was significantly less because there wasn't much left to get out of the motor. Pipes and and an air filter on a banshee gets you to the same HP, milling the head and advancing your timing 4 degrees will get you comfortable over 50HP. $325 in port work will get you to 65. Another $450 for a 4mm crank gets you to 75. And you're not even close to the potential of that motor. On top of that, it's still very reliable. What would it take to get 75 out of the 450 other than nitrous? How much would it cost?
  15. depends what you mean by fast. in a straight line, piped/jetted/air filtered bikes will be comparable. from there, you can probably figure each HP gained for the 450 will cost about 4x what it would cost for the banshee the stock banshee motor just has so much room for improvement. the 450's from the factory are running closer to the top of their potential, so once you get past the bolt-ons, it's gonna hit the wallet hard.
  16. my 97 had 35pwk's and I'd just choke the left carb and the bike would start fine
  17. this was my approach... After I rode enough at my favorite spots, it became pretty apparent that a very large majority of the bikes that seemed fast were built by Redline Racing, which was a local shop in Oregon. Every single person I talked to had nothing but good things to say about Cameron's work. So, I called him up not knowing a damn thing about porting, and talked to him for probably 20 minutes about what I could do, and what the best bang for the $$ would be for performance and we went from there. He even recommended buying all of my parts from ebay, because he couldn't touch the prices I could find there. So, I had seen Cameron's work, gotten good word of mouth by his customers, and had experienced his customer service, all of which were excellent. Sorry if this turned out to sound like an infomercial So... I'd recommend checking around locally where you are planning to ride/race/etc. See who's got the fast bikes and ask them. People in this sport seem to be very very helpful and want to talk about their experiences good and bad. After awhile, you'll notice some patterns about certain builders, and you can go from there. Myself, I wouldn't send my stuff half way across the country, only to have my motor sit for a few weeks and eventually get farmed out to someone because the shop I sent it to is too damn busy and backed up, but that's just me.
  18. I think what he's saying is that you don't need to worry about that, your builder does. You tell a builder what you are looking for, and he'll come up with a port/pipe configuration that will suit your needs, based on your riding style.
  19. there's no solution for world peace. the ME has been the most instable region since Biblical times, and was prophecized? that they would never stop. if your top end goes on your banshee, there's a pretty methodical approach to fixing it. the situation in Iraq, Iran, etc... there's no course of action that will bring peace. we've tried it peacefully with incentives given to countries, tried sanctions, etc. it doesn't matter if we have a democratic president, or republican. when the war was brought to us with the bombing of our embassies, the USS Cole, and ultimately the twin towers, what other possible recourse did we have? to people that say it's entirely about oil, I think it's a ignorant and hasty generalization. we import more oil from Canada and Mexico than we do from Saudi Arabia. Next on the list is Venezuela. From there, it drops by a factor of 3 to the next country. so, why sit here and call each other assholes, dicks, etc. that's the beautiful thing about our country. we all have our own opinions, and that right is protected. none of us are 100% right. my views are heavily slanted by believing that the Bible is a factual piece of literature. i don't expect everyone to believe it though. I just hope everyone cools out, and recognizes that this is a site to promote the sport of ATV'ing with Banshees, regardless of where you live, or what religion you follow. For you guys from abroad, I'd love to ride the big dunes in UAE or anywhere around there. Hell, I'd love to ride with you guys, even if you follow a different God or set of ideals. Peace out.
  20. holy shit, denny....drink a beer or something . I'm not a muslim scholar, but I don't really believe that religion is the motivating factor for the mess in the ME. People use twisted views of religion to manipulate people into following them...it's about power. Look at David Koresh, the KKK, etc. Do they not teach from the same Bible that many of us have read from? I never got the impression that I was suppose to kill Jews and Mexicans when I read it, or follow some guy that had multiple wives and exploited women for sex and think he was Jesus reborn again. Nah, they use religion to gain power for their own self-serving needs. Also, isn't Islam the world's largest religion? If it was the case that Muslims are taught to hate Christians, I'd think that I would be speaking another language by now.
  21. nobody seems to understand that when you start modding a banshee, you'll never stop. buy T5's so that you're motor will have potential moving forward. I've never seen a dyno comparing T5's and T6's on a stock motor, but I wouldn't imagine you'd be giving up that much in its current form going with the T5. I've seen a couple of people run T5's on cub cylinders even. They're just a very versatile pipe.
  22. i thought that the Trinity's were a good pipe for ported motors? similar to an LRD in terms of performance. rocketpig?
  23. The Trinity pipes are stainless I believe, which is one reason they are pricey.
  24. there's no need to slander CPI like that. but i'd gladly take that set of test pipes to compare with some CPI's and shearers on my bike. i'm even open minded enough to run whichever pipe delivers the best curve.
