  1. crazy c on the left. That banshee is also very fast.It is faster though when he leaves his' ego at the truck.LOL!
  2. bigboybanshee, they don't have sanctioned races. There may be two guys racing in a smooth spot and people flock to it.May just be stock bikes up to drag bikes.Everyone should have some form of competition. There is a group of drag racers that show up sometimes.Stroker cheetah, enforcer, and crazy c are among the fast crowd.Macanic has a 250R that shouldn't be underestimated. That honda is probably one of the fastest I've ever seen.If you can hang with these guys you had better have an insane quad. For you 4-stroke guys there is some extremely fast 4-strokes as well.Watch out for the Bombardiers. They might not be stock. Stewbing:let's just say beware the screaming chicken.LOL! I'll still have a 350 for those that want to race.I make it up there a few times a year.Give me as much advanced notice as you can,and I'll try to make it.My wife has a piped banshee I can race if you guys don't have ported banshees. It's all for fun, right? If you're not interested in racing, they do have trails,etc...
  3. Looked scary fast to me.
  4. Here's what you would of had to raced.
  5. Anybody feel froggy? If not,I'll just take my whippin this time.
  6. Who has the 14? My wife will be on her banshee so you've been warned.LOL!
  7. Yeah,I've been also hearing besides the race my friend was in that the new suzuki isn't the "unstoppable force" they are being played up to be.Not saying they are slow or a bad quad.Just that they, like most new quads, are really being hyped up by the magazines.I still like them though.
  8. I used one for a while from JTM.It worked flawlessly.Never had a problem.Mine was a +5.I think they also have a +3.It also had alot of adjustment so I could use a wide variety of sprockets without changing chains.I give them an A+.It is made out of aluminum and comes with all necessary hardware if I remember correctly.I don't "think" you'll be able to use a rear skid plate.Keep in mind though,I don't do jumps.I'm more a drag racer.Their ad use to be in the back of dirtwheels.
  9. Yeah,that's where I got mine.
  10. A friend of mine just recently bought the new suzuki 450.It looks awesome. He raced one of our neighbors on a stock YFZ.The suzuki should have won right?Wrong. They raced 4 or 5 times and the suzuki lost everytime. They said the suzuki would jump him out of the hole, but the yamaha would reel him in.Just thought you guys should know. Also note,my friend with the suzuki is a good rider.
  11. I have it.It's pretty good.Hard to see who won. Most of the drag racing was taped at the starting line. Had some insane quads.
  12. I'm new to them too.You should have got a spring with them.If you're looking at the case from the back once you have split it,the spring is suppose to go on the shaft between the right shift fork and the case. That's what I was told. You can cruise around in first. When racing, just make sure to clutch it before you let off the gas."NEVER" down shift when you are accelerating. If I'm wrong, someone correct me please. An over-ride should help lower your e.t.'s.It will help me alot.
  13. I'm actually going to be off a saturday and not have to take a vacation day,so I'm going to try and take advantage of it.
  14. You guys talking about Jeff? He's had my cylinders and carbs for about 3 months.I've seen some of his' bikes run before and they were amazing. It should be well worth the wait.
  15. One of my friends has one.It actually had more power than I thought it would. They are a fun bike.Don't expect to keep up with the yfz and the 450R,but they are a fun quad. The older ones had problems bending axles I think, and I have seen one that had some frame damage. The frame had a place where it broke.I figure it had been abused but still something to look for.
  16. If everything works out,we'll be at St.Joe April 1st and 2nd.
  17. Oh yeah, how ya been?We need to do some more racing when I get my banshee done.Your buddies still have the 250R's?
  18. I rode my wife's banshee awhile back.It would run fine but once I got it to where it should be really revving it wouldn't.Must have had water in the gas.It had sat for 2 or 3 months. After awhile it cleared up and would rev like normal.Might be some bad gas?
  19. I'm thinking you might be right.75 is extremely low.I don't see how it's running if it is.
  20. I have used them as well.Good luck with them so far.
  21. I do agree with wallrat. When I had toomeys, stock carbs, and ported cylinders the barnetts done good.Once I went to alcohol and shearers, they went bad extremely quickly.Had to get some better clutches from Jeff(F.A.S.T.).
  22. I bought the T-6's and was very unhappy with them.I did have a few other mods though:K&N filters, dyna ignition, trinity head,etc....I switched to T-5's with better results.
  23. I'm no expert, but race gas will be a higher octane than what you get from the gas station. Most gas stations offer up to 92 or 93 octane.Race gas comes in different octanes.I've seen it go up to 113.I think there is some even higher.Once you raise the compression high enough,it will require a higher octane.
  24. Yes,with the heavy duty springs the lever can be harder to pull.I've used barnetts in the past. They are a good clutch.I used all the heavy springs although I have heard of people alternating them.
  25. Stock vs. stock, the banshee will more than likely get beat.Ported vs. ported the 450 will most likely be eating sand,dirt,etc...The 450 does run good though. It will have less problem with traction too. You'll have to be more careful that you have the right gearing,tires,etc... for the banshee in my opinion.
