any idea what kind of hp my shee has with trinity stage IV pipes and trinity case porting/cylinder porting, bored .060, airbox lid off? the gearing is stock rear and 12 front which i know i have to change, but to what? what gears will it pull now, pit riding and trails and back roads and what kind of top end can i expect? with the 12 front and stock rear it was getting 67 on gps so i asume a lot higher if the gears are increased? thanks guys

i just got a set of trinity pipes from loboboy (THANKS) and they sure look sweet, but anyways i need some ideas on where to start setting up the carbs and shee! engine is case ported/cylinders ported by trinity, .060 bore, 700-800 foot elevation, airbox lid off, and boyseen reeds, any more questions just ask. would spacers do anything for me or just a waste? now how to set up the shee, right now it has a 12 tooth front and stock rear sprocket, what should i go to to use the power of the shee, for mostly gravel and sand pits and woods trail riding(fast and hard/aggresive), 21/12/9 mudsharks for rear tires, i weigh around 200lbs. loboboy gave me an idea where to start(thanks) but need a few more tips i did do a search and came up with next to nothing. thanks guys

Anyone ever pieced together a bike from nothing?
snowfoxsx replied to JasonsBanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i got my 90 as a basket case, in 4 boxes and a rolling frame, needed a crank, top end and rad and chain. paid 200 for the quad and got the rest off ebay for a few hundred bucks, took me a while to get it together and see what odds and ends i neeeded but got there and now she runs like a champ. be sure to get a book if you go this route! it can be done! -
ok, lets see a price on this stuff, anyone else have any ideas or stuff? thanks

i need 2 good needles for my banshee, the ones in it now are 2 different sizes for some reason. its bored .060, boysen reeds and has paul turner porting if it matters, and stock exhaust for now unless a cheap set of pipes turns up somewhere, the way they look will not matter as long as they work! anyone have either out there collecting dust? let me know, thanks

i need to get the rivits that hold on the gear to the clutch basket. does anyone know where to get them or just from the dealer, also how hard is it to reinstall the gear? i am putting a good gear onto a good basket because my basket is broke and the donor has a broken gear,or is there someone with a basket they are not using and want to get rid of it, let me know thanks

help, dies off/back fires in upper rpm's/no power
snowfoxsx replied to snowfoxsx's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
cleaned the carbs and it runs great, it has 240 mains and 25 pilets in it, does that sound right? also i noticed that the needles are 2 different sizes/taper,one is thicker, is that right? thanks -
help, dies off/back fires in upper rpm's/no power
snowfoxsx replied to snowfoxsx's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
if it is idleling and i punch it hard it will rev with no trouble, like it should, so i do not understand? there is no bog, backfire or anything weird. that is under no load. but under load and going through the gears it will pull hard through the first couple of gears and then fall flat and start dieing off/backfiring and stuff? thanks for the help guys, i am new at owning a shee -
okay, my shee (FIRST ONE) is bored .060, paul turner porting in the jugs and case ported, tors is disabled, 13/42 gearing, stock pipes(but not for long), boysen reeds, no air box lid. temps are around 80 degrees and about 750-900 elevation. IT IS AN 89/90 i was told the trouble is that 2 rides ago it was running fine at first, running smooth and had tons of power through the band, did some trail riding and came out onto a road and opened it up and it was spitting and backfiring like crazy, could not even pull 6th gear and barely 5th!! it idles fine and revs fine with no load but dies out under load, it still runs but has no power? the plugs were new before that ride but i never changed them yet, i will tommorow and test it. any other ideas on what is causing it to run like crap. i guess i will pull the carbs and clean then, check the sync of them and see what size the jets are in it. would anyone know as a rough guess on what kind of jetting, needle settings i would need for it so i have a base to start setting it up. my riding here consists of tight bush trails, fire roads and some pits to play in, does it look to be geared right or can you give me some suggestions to set up that end of it, what kind of speed can i expect out of it like this versus another setup? sorry for the long post, by the way the crank was rebuilt on it, would that do anything if it went out of spec? and i am looking for a cheap set of pipes and some info on how to read the vin# on my bike

would you ship it to north dakota? thanks
