  3. just like the description says, just wondering if any of you guys know exactly how power valves work. and also for those who run p.v's, have you guys had problems with the bolt backing out of the valve and them just sitting in the cylinder not working properly. (lack of top end) thanks. travis

  5. also looking at my splines on the axle and hub, neither one of them are really worn or rolled. splines are still squared not stripped. im going to replace the rear sprocket, mark the hub on the axle to see if it spins, check my motor mounts( i just swapped the crank 3 weeks ago) and go from there and let you guys know what i find. any other info ill take also thanks
  6. thats exactly what it feels like, my rear sprockets teeth are getting curved, i will go ahead and replace it since its already off. thanks
  7. im runnin a skid with my ext. swingarm, theres no way its hitting the ground, as far as mud, my bike dont see mud. but i will try running the bike without the small bottom chain roller and see if that makes a diff. any other suggestions?????
  8. first off let me start off by saying that im a heavy set guy, 6-2 280-300lbs. when ever i take off drag racing or even get on it hard, it feels like a carrier bolt has come loose and hits the sprocket hub. it really does it the most when my suspension is compressed, like when i hit the bottom of a dune and start to go up and nail it, it pops bad. its like a grabbing pop. it will jerk the bike and slow it down. i bought the bike used 4 years ago, it did it a little when i got it, since then i have replaced several parts( not chasing the problem just upgrading) sprockets, chains, ext. swingarm (6in). chromed my carrier so i have replaced bearings. could my chain be alittle to tight and it be streching when my susp. is compressed?????? my axle is out now and i was hoping to find that my sprocket hub has been rounded off internally, but i dont see any signs of that happening. any help?????

  13. final word from who?? trinity says grooves go up? who do you talk too?
  14. yeah do that and let me know, i have about a week before ill have it back together.
  15. i had to make sure which way they went in, so i took the time to call trinity, and they said the grooves go UP. so we can put this thread to bed. thanks guys switch you may want to check your valves???
  16. had cylinders powder coated, took a week and so i forgot how the VALVES themselves go back into the cylinder, they fit both ways, but on one side there are 2 grooves that had been cut out of the valves, and the other side is smooth. so therefore do i install the grooves up or down. thanks
  17. i work at a dealership and the guys at our bodyshop owe me a few favors. just wondering if you guys have ever seen the case painted, ive seen them powder coated and it looks good. any insight would be great, ive already got the motor off replacing the crank, just figured i'd clean up the motor real good and add some color. and it wont cost me a dime!!!! paint should look just as good as powder coating shouldnt it. just not as durable. right
  18. yeah the power now valves work awesome, big time horsepower gains, can really tell they are working. only 1 draw back, you have to get a tighter powerband, i went with the blue one :yankyank:

  21. the reason that donnG said trash the cheetha cylinders and go with the cubs is because he is my older brother and he is just giving me shit about my quad being down right now. he just got his put back together with cubs and a 4mil and its running very strong, so he figures he is running stronger than me. but i do thank you guys for the info, but all i can do now instead of worrying about WHAT happened is just to fix it bigger and better and go on.
  22. trash the cheetha!!!! yeah right your going to be upset when your little brother smokes your ass.
