  1. would you not be able to get a tach for a 4-stroke twin and hook it up to one of the cylinders on a banshee because one bashee cylinder fires the same amount of times as a 4-stroke twin right. would this be possible to hook it up to only one cylinder, i think this would give you an accurate reading because it would think the one cylinder is going twice as fast so it would be like having it hooked to two cylinders. can anyone get what i am saying, if so then correct me if i am wrong.
  2. wutever you do, i think you should put a 2-stroke in it like a cr500 or sumthin. you could even try to hook a tranny of to a 750 twin 2-stroke sled engine and throw it in. that would be insane. Darren
  3. wut kind of knarlys, there are different kinds arent there?
  4. i agree totally, i got the same bike but it is practically stock. 03 LE yellow/black is my favorite colour scheme of all the banshees.
  5. thanks everyone for posting their bikes , they all look sweet and i would post a pic of mine but i dont think you guys would care cause it almost is and looks stock, aswell as i dont know how to post it.
  6. your bike looks awsome , thats almost exactly how i wanna make mine but id like to see how the fenders look shaved like buddha440ex with them kind of pointing forward. Id like to get that same bumber and some rocket pipes. Also, do you have any other pictures or a bigger version of that one that you can e-mail me. My e-mail is [email protected] thanks a lot, Darren
  7. i dont know if i am correct but i would think with stock carbs, maybe 280-300 mains or sumthin. Dont just take it from me, see wut other people say. Depending on your elevation too. Darren
  8. agreed p.s. 2 strokes rule
  9. so who should i e-mail or call if i want a set of rocket pipes cause i want to get some once i get some money. Sorry about you sister fireman-hott, i really sucks losing family members Darren.
  10. yeah i wish they had a banshee in that game too. can u tell me if there is any other 2 stoke atv in the game other then the thq one.all the quads in that game are trx450r's, yfz450's, z400's and a 250r. also sis anyone notice that the 500 class mx bikes all say 2 stroke engine, one has a four stoke engine and still says 2 stroke and they all sound like 4 strokes. Darren
  11. lol, ive never heard of such a thing either.
  12. he means that he removed the caps off the back of the stock silencers. Darren
  13. yes an rpm gauge, a tachometer. I am getting a needle one, not a digital and i dont know what wires to hook it up to. Darren
  14. vito's site sells some 4mm cranks, you can check the site out at www.vitosperformance.net if you dont already know about it. Hope this helps. Darren
  15. well, i relocated by bottles and whala, i took it for a ride for about 2 hours and no coolant leaked at all. The operation does make sense with the tank being so high when at the back and all. I recommend anyone who hasnt done this and notices leaking to do it. I know im not leaking through head gastket because i opened the rad and revved it up and the fluid would shoot up but it didnt. Thx anyways for the tip though shee k/ Darren
  16. can anyone give me any info on this subject or give me a link iv it had been brought up before please . I have seen the threads for people that wanted tachs but no one explained where to hook them up. Darren
  17. I had this problem once and it was actually because my engine was running very rich, the excessive amount of gas and oil fouled one of my plugs and then the other plug fired and the fuel ignited causing a very loud "crack" because there as so much fuel in the cylinder. I took my plugs out and wiped them off, wire brushed them and then ran a torch over them to heat them up a bit, then kicked the bike over a couple times with the fuel off and the plugs in to clean it out. turned the fuel back on and she sarted right up. Darren
  18. i have the same problem, after a summer of riding my resivoir tank is almost empty and i know that it is not burning or leaking it any where else but that one tube that comes off the top of the resivoir and drips onto my pipes. I would suggest looking at the like that fixitrod gave out, i just read it and i am going to mount the tank at the front of the bike. i hopw this helps you bansheebob because reading this thread helped me too.
  19. that is good oil to use, other good oils are also bel-ray and amsoil and mixing 32:1 is alright but you can still mix 40:1 and be safe, i have used bel-ray mixing 40:1 for almost a year now and it works awsome, no problems. I now have switched to amsoil and am still mix the same. Also, try not to get so pissed next time you dont get replies, this topic has been brought up many times already, always search for the thread you want before you go and make one, that is what makes people pissed and not reply, people making the same threads over and over. Darren
  20. i can get a tach from my friend for a 2 stoke twin sled but i was wondering of anyone could tell me directions on what wires too hook up and where they are for a tachometer. I think it would be real cool to have a tach, not to know when to shift but i think it would be neat. This would really help, darren.
  21. holy shit , thats an awsome price, 250 bucks. I got my 2003 banshee LE for $4100 USD and it had a k&n air filter and boyesen reeds and it was in mint condition, no scratches or anything which i think was a pretty good deal but not as good as yours.
  22. I have a 2003 limited edition banshee that only has a k & n air filter and boyesen reeds. I can wheelie it in every gear to 4th aswell, sometimes even 5th if i pull up real hard. Pulling a good wheelie depends on what way you want to do it, if you want to pull a long one going the same speed, then what i do is stand up, put my left knee on the seat and hook my left foot against the rear grab bar and my right foot over the brack pedal. Bring the shee up to the balance point which is almost touching the back rack to the ground and then try to give it constant throttle rather then letting the lightswitch power band of the shee act up and jerk it back and hit the ground, ive done this a couple of times. This will take a lot of practice. If you want to start slow and then go through the gears, then just bring it up until it is almost straight up and try to shift at the balance point rather than when is starts going down on you, so you dont have to use to much throttle and it slams the rack into the ground. Some times i can ride it from 1st all the way to 5th but not very often, i prefer long slow wheelies. I like to put my knee on the seat as explained before and i have practiced a lot so i can almost always keep it up until i run out of road, field or just start to turn off the road. The main secret is to use the balance point to your advantage instead of just hammering the throttle, and you know the banshees power band - on, off- this will cause it to jerk the bike back very fast and either hit the grab bar very hard or you will hit the brake very hard and slam the front end down. don't worry, the bike will not flip right over, the rack will stop it, you can tip it up and let it sit there even but just remember to feather the throttle and the brake to keep it balanced, no slamming the throttle or brakes. Hope this helps, Darren
  23. I would like do do just what you did cause i can keep the gas tank and rad cover but if i just get the yellow maier fenders then how would i get the limited edition stickers for the fender part below the gas tank plastics where it says yamaha and has part of the flames.
  24. Does anyone have any experience driving a sport quad with blackwater tires cause i really like the looks of them on banshees and they look like they could really hook up. can anyone post my pic of the tires, ill e-mail it to you. thanks a lot
