I got shorty drag shocks from TDR racing.

Paint and chrome won't make the bike fast. A drag bike doesn't have to be pretty, just fast.

He doesn't really care what we get, but if i'm building it i'm gonna ride it and i'm not riding an ugly bike around. I did a little research and it must be a hard tail. I only like those old school bikes in a hard tail style. Other wise they look like a moped. Your right about people selling there toys right now. Cash is king. I know i'll find something. Your also right about staying away from the basket cases. You never know with them. What do you guys think about a triumph tiger hard tail?

My dads wanting me to build him a motorcycle to cruise around on on the weekends. I'm not looking to spend a lot on the bike, and i plan on doing all the work my self. I was thinking about buying a basket case and going from there, but i'm not sure what bike and what model to get. Do any of you guys have any suggestions on what bike to build? If anyone on here has something similar to what i'm looking for that would be great too.

Thats a tough one. You can never trust someone when they say what is internally done to a bike. Do you have any pics. Cuz pics can say a thousand words, and some guys on here can pick it apart just from a couple pics. Post your bike and the other bike.

You want to use different size domes and different timing based on your setup and riding style. Also what fuels your bike will also effect them. Cool head isn't the only head out there. The all do similar things.

I consider my bike a female, or I wouldn't spend so much time with her. When i talk about her i some times say "she". Other than that i use it on this site to save time typeing.

OK, so now this guy only wants to run the 1/8, and will not travel to a race track that is closer for all the people I have invited. I'm runnen the 1/4. I think everyone else is too. I hope he's not tryen to back out.

You can pick up some mph just by haveing less wind resistance.

06 is right, I too recommend running the cut domes and having it ported. After doing this upgrade you will have one badass banshee. See how much Fast will charge, then make up your mind.

I'm not going all the way to MD to race. I might be able to swing friday night, but it will be tough with work. We don't have an exact finish time at work and since i work out on the roads we can never leave early. But, sometime we do get off early. I'm gonna check and see if we can tnt on Sat. or Sun. I will also check into Raceway Park since its like 30 min. from my house. It would also be better to go to raceway park for some of the other guys i've invited.

NYUK, and banshee332, can explain in more detail? What would you be welding? Why can't you match the ports?

Ok, so a guy I know wants to build a sleeper drag bike. His idea is to copy the internals of a cub into a set of stock juggs. I don't think its possibly, or everyone would do it. I hope this isn't too stupid.

Let me know what day exactly. I'm tryen to get a bunch of other banshees to come down there too. Should be fun. I hope some guys from the HQ show up too.
