  1. If you are able to get it for 5K i would go with the shee. With the 2k you save you can put a badass suspension setup and pipes, With that done well you should be able to put a smackdown on a yfz too.
  2. screw that mini i want that tool box
  3. It wont hurt anything i had to move mine up one spline for my riding boots.
  4. just took a look at the new kawi 450 and damn that thing looks nice.....
  5. i dont know if it would be worth it to even run alky on stock carbs maybe you should get some bigger carbs first
  6. yeah thats pretty much what i was thinking of doing. Id really like it to be firm though.... guess we cant have everything we want now can we
  7. Yeah for the amont of races i plan to do i really dont see needing a yfz450. After i redo all the suspension im sure itll help alot. Also a hydraulic clutch, steering stabalizer, and some work to make the throttle easier to push. I think with those mods itll cut down on fatigue and allow me to keep pace with the 450s. well now all i have to do is get endless amounts of money wish me luck
  8. while were on the subject of seats does anyone make a thinner seat as in height. Id like to get one with about 1-1 1/2in less height. oh btw sorry for the thread hijack
  9. Well if your gonna me using an R1 motor or somthing of that sort you might have issues fitting it in a yfz450 chassis. but hey what do i know just a thought.
  10. With that said i think im gonna stick with the banshee i think i would miss it to much anyways
  11. The standard BR8ES should do fine.
  12. Yes, one gives more speed and one gives more torque but the main reason for bigger or smaller tires is ground Clearance. 22in tires are mainly for woods and trail riding. 20in is pretty much the general tire for anything alot of quads come with them. 18in is pretty much an MX tire sure you could use it for other things but i bet youll beat the shit out of your swing arm.
  13. Hey guys i hope to start racing later this year after i start making money at my new job. Im just wondering if any of you guys out there race banshees in GNCC. Thing im really trying to figure out is do i spend 3-4k on suspesion and other mods for the banshee or get a yfz450. I know its a 4-poke but i just dont see my banshee ever handeling as good as a even a bone stock yfz450. So if anyone has light to shed on my dilemma plz chime in. oh have fun flaming i know you will
  14. Its cool man i myself might break down and get a 4-poke this year. But its only bc i want to race and as we all know most classes are all 4-Strokes now
  15. Well whats more important to you handeling or speed? You could get a good suspension setup and still have enough left over for a good port and carbs.. Its really up to you but in my oppion if you spend most your time in the dunes get a set of cubs.
  16. If your riding woods try to get 22in rears and get the smallest rim you can for the tires. I say this bc it saves you from bent rins if you catch a tree. Which you will do eventually if your riding fast. Thats saying you havent already =) As for the fronts 21's will do fine.
  17. You just need to check and see if the tubing can handel the heat. Most tubing you get from hardware stores is made for around 175 F from what iv read.
  18. Iv herd they were really nice. plus you cant complain if you bend it they will replace it.
  19. Last year i was at a track with an tabletop id say 8-10 feet at the most
  20. If you can get the extra money id say go with Hiper rims best money can buy IMO. http://www.hiper-technology.com/catalog/index.jsp
  21. Awsome news man!! If your gonna be able to sandblast and powdercoat frames for 75$ ill be your first customer.
  22. I run klotz Super Tech Plate at 40:1 but im pretty sure i could run it at 50:1 with no problems. Also yamalube smells like shit and well Klotz smells like your at the races.
  23. i understand that but what im trying to say is its just going to push the fluid back out once it heats back up. also if its over heating enough to push it out you might want to look for other problems. since iv had my bike i dont think there has even been fluid in the water bottle and i ride in temps around 100 degrees.
  24. I dont think they could be to generic of pipes to be pulling 65hp on the dyno. anyway those look like some pretty good numbers for the mods you have listed.
