well im not surte that the backcountry spit -back theory has much of any merit considering cheetah cubs have hellacious boysen ports and would certainly cause alot of this spit back phenomena much moreso than jims added boysens ever would in his 12 port engines he does .

lets stop guessing at what happened and find out for sure ,your plugs and pistons will usually tell yo u what happened so history doesnt repeat itself.post u p a pic of the pistons and your plugs

ive ported cr500's and theres a way to add 2 decompression grooves above the exhaust port to make starting way easier and yo u really dont need any fancy expensive breakable unit machined into the cylinder

id think youd be spinning the beads off the rims in second eve nwith 22"tires. maybe yo u should consider checking your jetting and mods/portwork becuase as been mentioned before it should be very competative and yanking the bars out of your hands with al l those goodies in your sig

i must have got lucky on mine because i had no problems at all and the production chrome looked really good ,better than fmf ,ct, pro circuit etc.. the power gains are awesome and for a ported engine they perform like no ther pipe o nthe market,i sold mine only to get some small bore shearer 2 out 1 side out of frames ,7 weeks and still waiting but itll be worth it

theres permatex ultra that can be used and is semi drying and also another brand i think is called 1140 bond

blaster reed cages are slightly longer than a banshees and reeds themselves arent much different ,if yo urun them get yourself a 1/4" reed spacer ,k&T has done this on their bikes ,.id just get vforce and be done with it though i doubt your gonna see much gains because theyre not really a world of difference in desig nand size over stock

if yo u have a ported 420 and yo u bog off the line in second gear with only a 15 front sprocket theres a problem , an mild 350 could launch in second easily with that gearing in dirt.

not to take anything away from jeff but every builder is currently busting his ass i n the wee hours to get things done and running behind schedule .IMO i dont really see why yo u guys are bashing this kid (fasterthan..) ,he is only stating his own experiance and his opinion on the returned package . he has already said hes happy with the performance but felt packing was poor for a reputable builder . thats an important part of the process and as we al lknow these engine run up into the thousands$$$ really quickly ,i dont htink hes trying to belittle jeff
