  2. I'm running the single carb (35mm) with a basically stock motor(toomey tr6 pipes) & found that the jetting out-of- the box was way off. I'm at 2850 ft elevation though, so of course your jetting will be different. The main problems were in the mid-range & I changed the pilots to the 58's & ordered a EEK needle from Carb Parts Warehouse (thanks Sredish) & it seemed to cure those problems. I'm running a 205 main.
  3. Just make sure the cylinders are within specs for wear. What pistons are you using ? Did you get the pistons with the cylinders or going to use your old ones?
  4. Usually I do a good job of checking feedback before bidding, but this time I got in a hurry & guess I was impressed (?) by his almost 3000 + score. If I would have checked closer, I would have seen that he deserves a lot more neg. feedback than he has. For some dumbass reason I can't explain, many people have left him neutral comments when he deserved negative ones. I guess the're afraid of getting neg. feedback themselves. Oh Well! The wheels & tires are usable, I just wanted ones that looked new, not used.
  5. Ok! I was stupid & bid on two auctions for paddle tires from in2glamis. Got a good price on them but this shithead sends them out just banded together. One set has both wheels scratched & the other set are scratched & dented. Don't make the mistake I did! DON'T BUY FROM in2glamis AKA INLAND ATV!!
  6. Don't order wheels & tires from them! Their prices are good, but they don't give a shit about packing. I bought two sets of sand star paddles from them & both sets came in scratched & one wheel was dented. They won't return my emails. FUCKERS!!
  7. Dream on! I've got a buddy that rode his dirt-bike to work several years ago because his car was broke down. He lived on the far west side of our town & rode the alleys in-town & then rode the ditches along- side the hiway for about 2 miles to get to work. The city cops chased him several times & so did our rural sheriffs deputies, but they never could catch him in the act. About two weeks later, he came home to find several tickets stuck in his mailbox, speeding, alluding officers, running stop-sign & failure to yield.
  8. VERY WELL SAID!! This is a BANSHEE SITE! I own other quads, but I don't ask questions about them here. As far as the 450, I've smoked a lot of them, mostly because the riders sucked!!

  10. If you browse Ebay very much, you'll see these scam auctions all the time! The're usually easy to spot- they usually list an overseas address, they want paid by Western Union, & they always say don't contact them through Ebay's email service. They use a temporary hotmail account. Just to fuck with scammers, I usually bid a MILLION DOLLARS on their auctions!

  14. I looked it over & can't decide what the hell it's good for! I build a quad to ride, not look at! Also, anybody knows you built something like that 'cause you can, & we all know you"ll never get your money back!
  15. You can get stock carbs off E-bay cheap. They are for sale all the time
  16. You need to rejet the carb. First pull the carbs off & check to see what size the main jets are. While they are off, I would recommend a complete disassembly & thorough cleaning with carb cleaner. Get a Clymer manual & set the float heighth. Check the clip seeting on the needle. You might want to use the middle position as a starting point.Reinstall the carbs and pay close attention to idle settings, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 & full throttle settings. Adjust accordingly.Remember, main jet controls only 3/4 to full throttle positions. It sound like your carbs are TOO RICH!
  17. removing the stock TORS crap makes for easier jetting changes. It gets rid of that extra crap above the carb cap. Check out Vito's performance for a complete kit. About $59.00.
  18. Just wanted to put my .02 in I'm over 40 & love to rip the shit out of my Shee. I compare it to a small-block chevy- revs like a motherf****r & has a sound at full throttle that scares the shit out of people when I blow by them. (Toomey TR6 pipes). I had a Shee in '87 when they first came out-modded the hell out of it-turned it into a Sand drag machine & sold it after our track closed down. My advise is to ride the shit out of whatever you've got, stop & help anyone with a broken quad (regardless of brand), & just enjoy life. Lifes too f*****g short to rag on anybody but your friends- get your ass out there & enjoy it. To hell with work & arguing about which quad is the best!

  20. I ordered the new style (raptor style) plastic when it first came out last year. I really like the aggressive look it gives the shee. We ride a local dry riverbed that runs 50 miles east & about thirty miles west of us, along with trips to two parks in Oklahoma. Everywhere I go, people run up to my Shee & say "what the f**k?",trying to figure out what kind of hybrid quad I'm riding. I've had nothing but positive comments.

  22. Don't trust the Toomey Jet kit to be perfect. The mains included (270 & 280) might be ok for a starting point, but you had better check the jetting carefully or risk a meltdown of your motor.
  23. I've got the toomey TR6 pipe kit on a 2001 Shee & let me tell you that Toomey is full of shit on their jetting suggestions. I'm at 2850 elevation, & on a 90 degree day the 280 main was too lean. A 310 was a lot closer, with lid on airbox, their filter supplied, & air box vents. The engine is stock otherwise. The pipes are great & really woke the Shee up though, this bitch is still pulling at the TOP of the hills I climb!
