  1. i'd be looking for other causes- improper clearances, improper assembly, overheating, etc.
  2. I had direct TV from the time they started until last year when I switched to dish network. Dish network is about the same in quality of service & programs offered & pricing. The new dish is: Larger, More Powerful, Sturdier. Outages due to storms are fewer with the dishnetwork dish.
  3. want to buy used aftermarket a-arms for my 'shee. must be in excellent condition.also must be able to use stock-length shocks.
  4. I put one on my Predator & it eliminated arm pump.
  5. workmanship looks great! Toomey's are $400... so probably a good deal!
  6. It's only worth it if you get freebies like gift certificates for taking it!
  7. I always tell them "Buy the bitch & you can ride her all the fuck you want!"
  8. The toomey TR6's are a GREAT PIPE for a stock motor!! Most people giving their 2 cents have NEVER USED THEM! I have them on my '01 with a trinity 2 n 1 carb & the combo flat rips!!
  9. Sounds like the piston to wall clearances are too big. Probably should have bored it.
  10. I've got one if you want to replace yours.
  11. Only me & my riding buddies! IMO, if you let an inexperienced rider on it - you're stupid- & are opening yourself up to a lawsuit if they get hurt.
  12. Doesn't really matter much unless you've got straight cut paddles & are drag racing only.
  13. with the spring rate of that rear shock, it's going to ride like a dump truck
  14. You can select your dome size according to the octane that you want to run (and have access to). There are limits to the cylinder pressure that a stock crank can handle. Contact Noss Manufacturing for all the info & advice you will need. he sells a great product & provides super service.
  15. Makes sense, just never thought to check that. I'll let you know after I get the new parts in. THANKS!!
  16. About 6 months ago I had a problem with my '01 'Shee overheating on occasion. After changing several parts- New Toomey Radiator, Noss Cool Head, changed to Engine Ice- I found the real cause of the problem. The plastic driven gear on the water pump was stripped out-still would turn sometimes because the plastic was melted to the shaft. I ordered an aluminum impeller from Vito's & replaced the bearing, seal, pin & gear also. Everything was fine until this past weekend. I was riding it wide open in fifth-just getting ready to hit 6th- when the motor seized. Upon teardown I discovered lower ring on left side piston seized, upper ring & both rings on right side ok. No problems with jetting- looked to be cooling issue again. Took the cover off & guess what? Goddamn f???ing gear stripped again!! Anyone ever had this happen? bearing was not seized, it spins freely. The only thing I can think of is that the impeller seized at the small end where it's supported by the engine case. It appears to get splash oiling from the spinning clutch assembly. Is that right? I'm pissed off right now & my first thoughts are to dump this friggin quad but surely the fix isn't that complicated.
  17. I've got a complete Vito's kit I"ll sell ya for $50.00 shipped . It's in a new, unopened package. I take Paypal. PM me.
  18. did you also unplug the parking brake? follow the harness down to the side of the radiator & unplug it. you can run it like that or install a TORS eliminator kit
  19. ABOUT 6.9 H.P. using 1 Powerband only!
  20. are they for solid lifter or roller cams??
  21. it can happen in as little as 1/2 hr or less. I took my 'shee out last winter & was too lazy to rejet it for the cold weather. Temp was at least 45 degrees cooler that what it was jetted for. Melted left piston in about 20 minutes. WAY LEAN!!
  22. Not trying to flame you, but KBB is bullshit- current market value on a '99 is about $2500.00. Prices on Shee's are going to shit! Everyone wants a 4-stroke.
  23. check very carefully anywhere the harness has a bend or rubs against anything. also check each connector very carefully-sometimes the connection will fail where the connector is crimped on . if you are using an ohmeter to trace the harness-be aware they have limited value. a wire will check good for continuity even if only one strand is left unbroken-it may not carry the current load though. also check all grounds. scrape any paint away & use star type washers on the bolts.
  24. I have an '01 with TR6 pipes, Noss Head with 21cc domes, fresh rebuild 20 over & Trinity 2 in 1 35 mm carb. I run her at 2850 ft elevation AND SHE OUTRUNS ANY RAPED APE.
