  1. Hey Guys, I have some V-Force 2 cages for sale. One side has some broken reed petals and need to be replaced. Otherwise, the cages are in mint condition. I'd like $75.00 and this includes shipping. BG
  2. Yanno... With a similar setup back in the day... I ran 260 mains. You might want to try going a little leaner, since going richer hasn't helped. BG
  3. Looks to me... Like she is saying. "Pull Your Pants Up" Makes sense too. BG
  4. On the opposite end of the argument... IF you want to get into porting... And you want to expand your skill set... You have to start somewhere. Porting your first set of cylinders, and maybe ruining your first set of cylinders may be an acceptable risk. I would read your CD, which hopefully has some useful information. Then I would spend a considerable amount of time and effort researching the methodology and theory of 2-stroke cylinder porting before you ever touch your barrels. Understand what your port modifications are accomplishing, and know why it works the way it does. Start at the basics and work your way to the advanced. When you've mastered all the basic concepts, start to hone in on the mathematics and engineering. Get the right tools! Get a quality grinder with interchangable hand pieces. You'll want a right-angled hand piece. I recommend Foredom. Get yourself some 2-stroke software. Start simple and work your way up. TSR is probably the best, but there are much cheaper alternatives to get you started. Do a Google Search on CARFOR software. Good Luck, BG
  5. Hey Guys, Just 30 minutes Left!!! 30 minutes!!! Bid while you still can! BG
  6. Hey folks, Just 24 hours left! So if you're interested, time is running out! BG
  7. Oh and Guys... If you win the auction and tell me you're from BHQ, You get $10.00 off the cost of shipping as long as the bidding price is more than $250.00. Just my small way of giving back. ;-) BG
  8. Hey Guys, Here's my Ebay listing for a brand new stock stroke, stock rod hotrod crankshaft. I never got a chance to use it. Here is the listing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=4614638599 Good Luck, BG
  9. Hello, I experimented with them about 5 years ago. They're a copy-cat version of Vito's super stock pistons. The only difference is they are cast. The Namura pistons turned out to be a total BUST. Literally! One customer of mine tried them and the exhaust port side broke off and ruined his top-end. I ran them in two different bikes and within a few days the intake bridges were cracked. They might be "okay" on a bone stock engine, but I wouldn't take any chances. BG
  10. Hiya... CGK... For your setup, and from what you describe, the K in the CGK is a little rich. If you go to a CGL needle, I think you'll be presently surprised. Your Pilot jet is in the ballpark. Give the CGL's a try. You'll be glad you did. BG
  11. Hey Brian, I was hoping not to. I really just wanted to make it simple. So if it doesn't work out with a single offer from here. Then I'll have no choice I suppose. BG
  12. Heya, I have one of the Shift-Pro kits. You don't have to split the cases. It is the small linkage/lever/arm that interfaces with the shift star. The Shift-Pro kit has a small needle bearing on it and a different spring. I feel that the real benefit is that the stock, crummy little rolling wheel, is replaced by a nice bearing. It definitely made things smoother... However... It makes it easier to miss a shift going from first and second... Takes some getting used to. BG
  13. Actually, if you look at the original post I asked for no less than $400.00. I did not anticipate that I was going to have dozens of people asking me to buy them. So how do I decide who gets them? I didn't ask for anyone to bid. I asked for interested people to give their "best offer" Meaning... What they think they can afford/are willing to pay, and I would sell the pipes to the best offer. I don't know how else to do it and still try to maintain some sense of fairness for the people who were interested. And yes... I COULD have put them on Ebay. I've certainly done that many times. I wanted to offer them to the folks on here first. I like the community and the simplicity of design. It reminds me of the "good old days" when business was conducted on the good faith of a handshake. Good Luck, BG
  14. Hey guys, I've been getting so many PM's about the pipes that I my message box keeps filling up on me. So I apologize if you're having trouble getting through. I have been deleting old ones as much as possible. I didn't realize that these pipes were going to generate so much interest. To try to be fair... If you're interested... PM me your best offer. The person who PM's me the highest offer will get the pipes. BG
  15. I'm sorry the pictures are a little crappy. I used a point and shoot style digital camera. It's not the best. The silencers are a little tarnished. The whole 'shee has been in storage for over a year. They'll shine right up with a bit of polish. I just didn't have time to do that and take the pictures right now. For all interested parties... Please go ahead and PM me. BG
  16. I hope these attachments work.
  17. Hey guys, I'll have pictures of them tomorrow. I'm too tired to do it right now. ;-) The welds are very good both on the expansion chambers and the silencers. These were a "good" batch. They were bought when Rocket Pipes were being made nicely. They weren't run very much however, as I don't get to run anything very much any more. I'll post some pics to this thread... And I'll send pics to those who requested via PM. BG
  18. Oh and... I'd like to add they were just repacked with Moose packing... 3 stage actually... A metal screen, Then stainless wool, then fiberglass. It should last a very long time... Actually an upgrade over new. ;-) BG
  19. Hey Guys, I am entertaining the idea of selling a set of Rocket Pipes. You can't buy these babies any more. They're beauties, in excellent shape. I don't have any pictures handy at the moment, but I can provide them later, to folks who are interested. They run quite strong. Needless to say... They are dent free... Chrome is near new... No scratches... No real blue-ing... They come with a set of custom aluminum O-Ring clamps... Very trick looking. Very clean. The silencers have been polished... Welds smoothed. Send me a PM if you're interested. I'm looking for no less than $400.00 BG
  20. The water pump is a good thought. I replaced the impellar and seals. The problem is from the moment you start it up. It spits fuel out of the left cylinder... It runs on and off... About 50% of the time. It'll do it ice cold. It'll do it warm. The time it seized was mostly my fault. Out of frustration and trying to ride it... I cold seized it. The seize didn't cause the problem. The problem caused the seize. BG
  21. Hey, I've put on 4 sets now. The original Alba graphics were actually heavier material and more flexible. They went to a thinner, harder type of vinyl a few years back. Anyway, I use water and rubbing alcohol. You make the mix... 3/4 Water 1/4 70% Isopropyl alcohol. Put it in a squirt bottle and liberally spray the fenders and the graphic. You'll be able to slide it around enough to position and reposition. Make sure to keep things wet, and put them on in a cool shaded place. After you get them positioned, it often requires the use of a hairdryer to get parts of the graphics to stick flat to the fenders without bubbling and kinking... Particularly on the front fenders where they bend. After you get everything done... Wait for a nice hot sunny day... Really sunny... Really hot... Let your banshee sit in the direct sun all day. You can't substitute the even heating you get to the graphics and the plastics. Everything will warm up really nicely, the glue will ooze into place, and everything will stick down for the long haul. Good Luck, BG
  22. Hey guys, Just to clarify some.. I swapped out every electrical component, including harness, switches, key... I decided to try it, after testing them all with voltometer/ohmeter as a just in case measure. I even swapped the CDI, stator, stator plate, flywheel... All from a known, running bike. The TORS crap is GONE. I swapped three sets of carbs. I swapped another stock pair. Then I swapped a pair of aftermarket 28mm carbs. All with the same result. There goes any theories about choke tubes, clogged jets, or worn slides. I swapped the entire intake boots with another set of stockers and then a pro design manifold. I swapped out the reed cages. Another stock set and a V-Force set. I swapped from right to left. I swapped heads. I swapped out the left cylinder. I completely replaced the cases... Brand new from the factory cases. I swapped out the crank seals for a second time. None of it has made any difference. The last thing left... Is the crankshaft itself. It's a brand new Wiseco Hotrod stock crankshaft. I'm going to swap that out next. It could be the metal seal between the crank is bad... Or maybe it's just a defective crank all together... Something that I can't explain... I've run out of any other options. Basically the problem is affecting combustion in the left cylinder. I tried to go from easiest to hardest, eliminating any possibilities for what might interfere with Combustion. I've probed the minds of builders and shops from the east coast to the west coast ... The best answer I received so far... Is from an expert out in CA... And like he said to me... He once had an RD400 that he basically swapped everything out like I've done, and every time he'd run it... It would seize up... And he never found an answer. All the components were good, just something didn't work right together. I may be coming to the end of the road with this engine. BG
