A salvaged title will affect the price but by how much I don't know. A slavage title will affect some people's paying price and others it won't affect that much. It realy boils down to how much someone is willing to give and what they want to do with the vehicle. Just look over it real close, check the front fork seals for leaks, any frame damage, controls in working order etc.. The speedo may not reflect it's true mileage because it may have been replaced with a new or used unit. A salvage title tells you that it has been damaged to a certain % of the vehicle's pre-wreck value. I think this differes from state to state. If it is rebuilt you can apply for a new title to where it can be driven on the road. Certain inspections and fee's apply here. Though the new title will always reflect that it was once a salvage vehicle. I'd say check your state laws on the issue and go from there.
