Man, this is crazy... gettin rid of the shee for a 400 ex... Just put the money into the shee... the conversion kit as far as i know isnt hard at all... put some pipes on ur bike and ull be happy for a long time, the 400ex's wont even touch you... stock or modded..

Clymer has been the best for me so far... it has great diagrams if your mechanically inclined...the CD thing is pretty neat also... i walk in the stealership and give them a part number and its done.. not like i buy any stock stuff for my shee anyways...

Runnin 6 years on a set of stock pistons and rings is pretty fookin' amazing if you ride hard... light at that... U just jinxed urself tho... it's bound to happen.. i'd change them before you do yourself more damage...

yeah and u got a stroker... I've never had problems with 8 paddle haulers duning and draggin on a 350... im gonna move up after the rebuild... maybe to 9's or 10's.. Haulers are the best way to go... dont ever get sand stars...man i never felt so much lost power in my life... Eric

restos are alot of fun, and alot of money.. im currently doing a 1975 blazer... with the fully removable hard top from the front windshield back (Only made 3 years), and it has the original 400 sb (Only made one year for this truck).. I got the frame pc'd and new rims and tires and a lift kit.. that was 1 year ago.. man i gotta start workin on it again.. parts layin around..dont know where half the shit goes anymore.. I'd do it.. its alot fo fun, that would be an easy tear down adn reassembly too.. not to complicated on a small truck like that.. Goodluck Eric

Yeah man, i had 3 shotguns in my truck.. we were dovehuntin before the incident.. i thought it wa sa bad idea tho.. who knows what they had... My frienda who got the shit beat outa them already know where they live, what they drive, etc.. we are gonna fuck up their shit...Oh, and they keyed my truck... about 5, 2 foot lines to be exact... God damnit i want my ice chest back too... that thing was a 100 dollar ice chest...

Well...i threw a party friday, out in the mountains where i live, and it was going great right...? I got 3 30 packs on beer, brought some jose, a shit load of weed... 3 hours in, my friends and I (Like 20 people), where having a great time just chillin.. and i see all these big ass trucks comin down the road... we were like hey, more people...cool..Like 40 mexicans got out (Not trying to offend anyone here), and they came up and where just chillin like us for about 10 mins.. and then one coms up to me and steals my jose, he drinks it strait out of the bottle, and thats when i got pissed. I was like, give me my jose back.. and hes like "What you gonna do about it, come get it" He walks away and i never see him again... I look back at my truck, and like 10 mexicans where carryin my HUGE ice chest, full of beer and ice and carry it to their cars...I was pissed now, i knew i would just get my ass kicked... so i just chilled hopin they'd bring it back...they didn't.. My friend was on his way to the party with someone else and they pulled up and the mexicans surrounded the truck and beat his windows out and pulled them out and beat the shit outa them..and took their wallet, phone, and keys.. blood all over the place... they all get in their trucks and booked it with my icechest full of beer, my jose, my pipe, my shot glasses, and the various wallets they stole and some phones.. Man, what is with people?? trying to have a good time and this has to happen??? Later on i found out they took it and threw another party with my beer...I'm gonna find everyone last one of them and fuck up all their shit.. Man!!! I"M PISSED!

I think he has the 5.3 L V8.. Our 8.1L V8 sounds sweet with flowmaster on it.. it has a great sound to it.. But then again thats a big block... I have magnaflow on my 5.0L V8, its not that great..so i wouldn't recommend those, i dony know what one i got, but its not loud enough.. Always had good luck with flowmasters tho, they sound amazing EDITED: Oops i saw he said he had a 4.8L, i would put flowmasters on that especially.. Make is sound like a V8.. Eric

I will agree with everything sandstar said, but i wouldn't take off the stock airbox and put clamp ons on. Some people will disagree with me, but my understanding is that its not good to have that weight hanging on the carbs like that, unless you have somethign to hold them up.. Correct me if i'm wrong? The stock airbox with the adaptor plate on it with a K&n will do the trick just perfect! Eric
