my stock pegs are worn and i wanted to some add-on peg extensions w/kick up. i know white brothers make a set. do they make them also where they are a little wider then stock. the ones i've seen just wrap around the stock peg. who else makes them and for a good price. just wanted some imput before i purchased a set. thanks dennis

i purchased a -1 5/8 stock swingarm with roundhouse. it is in great shape. while i was assembling it i notice it didn't have the stock chain quide bracket located just in front of the spocket. this is not a big deal cause i have my stock one i just took off, but is it needed? i just wanted to see if i should have this welded on, wasn't sure if it was needed on shortened setups. thanks dennis

it doesn't sound dumb, thats what i did at first, (per manual, even said it) it just left me with no adjustment at the perch. it was all the way out. i will double check the 3/4 adjustment. i think that is where i am now. some play at the perch, but will have plenty of adjustment. doing it by the book wasn't working so i just wanted some feedback before i went ahead and ran it. what are they using, low grade bolts. at least i know it wasn't something i was doing wrong. thanks allot guys for all your help on this matter dennis

well i just put a new clutch in. i need some advice. in the center of the basket you have a threaded rod with a phillips head and nut on it, the other side has a ball bearing. this is the final adjustment before i put the case cover back on. in the manual it says to line up the arrow on your case with the point on that lever (under left carb were cable connects), when i do what it says i then have to adjust the perch (adjuster) all the way out before the clutch will even grab (or have pressure on the lever). is it ok to adjust this threaded rod so that it works in the lever, and still have adjustment in the perch? i have it set up where i have almost all my available adjustment on my perch. i just wanted some feedback before i put it back together, didn't want to take it apart again. also in the manaul it says to torgue the spring bolts to 7.2 ft pounds, i had broke 2 bolts torgue'ing them back in. has anyone had this problem? should i torgue them to different spec with aftermarket clutch and springs? this is an ebc clutch kit also. thanks dennis

currently i am running just the k&n pods on stock carbs. every so often a pod comes off, due to no lip on the stock carbs. i would like to start running something more reilable, has anyone used the 2 into 1 filter by uni? it runs about $50.00. i am also looking into an aftermarket airbox, can't run stock, cut all brackets off during coating. i am just looking for feedback on the 2 into 1 setup. does it stay on, and will it be more reliable then the pods on the stock carbs only, since that is what i am running. if its not i am going back to an airbox setup. i just need some feedback, new motors add to fast. thanks dennis

getting ready to order a new swinger. i wanted to hear from people with shortened ones. i was thinking of going with a -1. i find myself riding a 50/50, track and trails. possible more trail down the road. from want i read a -2 may be to much for trail. also i was thinking about getting it from quick sand, they seam to have a good price for the setup. anyone else in there range? how is there rep? plastics? i like the lakers, fullbores are to much$$$ the ufo seam good also, i could save a few $$ with them. how do they both look in person, quility ,shine and wear. everything looks good in a picture. thanks for you advice in advance on these items. dennis

i will, thanks. i knew better, but a good friend who i thought knew his stuff, doesn't. he was the one who told me not to get it honing also. i did get it honed. oh well, which i knew had to be done each time. i will have to drain the oil back out. i knew something was wrong when i poured it in, that why a minute later i was on here and not installing my jugs. yes, i'm very glad i am a hq member, thanks allot guys. i wish i didn't sound like an idiot. i did bebuild my bike 1 other time by myself but it was years ago and last time i had it ported and let them assembly it. thanks again

1/2 quart between the 2. i was told to do that in case any sand or crap fell in. it was fine, i thought it couldn't hurt to just run it thru, but it didn't go thru, just pooled up on the crank. the oil holes, on the sides (if that is what it is called), the oil doesn't sit that high, just on the crank. i'mprobably making something out of nothing. thanks dennis
-
before i put the cylinders on to pour oil thru, just in case anything fell in. well i poured oil on top of the crank and it is just sitting there, nothing went thru. i even spun it around a few times. is it cool to just bolt the cylinders on, or do i have to remove the oil. i am thinking it will work out if i bolt them on, i just want to be sure. thanks dennis

i got 4 degree key from vito, and it doesn't seam to want to stay in the groove (spline). it doesn't seam to want to sit flat in there. i called them and they said they never had any problems with them, is there a trick to getting this in there. i can put the stock one back in with no problem and assembly. any advice on this would be helpful, i now realize i can get an adjustable one for 35.00 from what i've been reading here. that probably would have been easier. thanks dennis

i just have question, i had ordered a wiseco piston kit, thats how it is labeled on my invoice. when i had orded i said i needed a 20 over top end kit. from reading other sites these kits came with it all, pistons, pins, bearings and gaskets. i purchased the pro lite kit for $150.00, should this kit have come with them or did i mess up. other kits for the same price seam to come with them. i emailed the company today but will not hear back till monday at the earlest, so i will not say who i purchased it from. i just need some feedback so i know what to do. i don't want them to b.s. me just to cover up and have to purchase gaskets. if it isn't supposed to come with it i wish they would have asked if i needed them---- up sale. now it will be aother weekend of no riding. thanks for your feedback dennis
