  1. It doesnt matter, the banshee is the daddy of those quads anyways.
  2. Cause I bought it as a project bike, it's come a long way....and the banshee isnt going to rust away...I take good care of both the bikes, my kx was poorly maintained BEFORE I got it. And I do have a banshee....
  3. I have the A.R.C ones, they are actually pretty good, I havent worn any other boots though, so I dunno if I'm missing out, the pants are super comfortable.
  4. hehe, I was tryin to strip it down but almost every damn screw is stripped and they are all full of rust and gunk, so I just lost interest, its half taken apart in the garage right now, I'll be back at it again tommorrow. And I'm hopefully getting the frame pc'd at least, I'll clean the rest some other way. Anyone know of any products that will help make it shine like it came out of the dealer?
  5. I wish my parents would let me buy a truck, they said I can borrow theirs and thats enough.
  6. So today, I get home from school, and start taking apart my KX, get the plastics off, get the carb out it's dirty as hell, my airbox is cracked, well looks like I need a new airbox, keep going, oh the left radiator is bent up, cool!, get the handlebars off, threads on the clamp is stripped, so the bars arent on real tight, cool, forks are still bleeding, try to take the pipe off, oh but I have no spring puller and they are rusted together anyways, everything is rusted, stripped, and dirty on this bike, I am so pissed I have dumped so much money into the bike to have it still be crap. The handlebars are nice, and so are the plastics, it runs alright, but everything else is rusted and dirty, and no matter how much I clean and scrub, it's still all dirty, and rusted. And theres buildup an inch thick everywhere. Ughhh. I'm trying to learn to ride two wheelers real well, but with a bike like this it's almost impossible. I think after I get the chain and sprockets and plastics on, I might sell it, and just take whatever my dad gives me, and put it towards the banshee, my dad wants me to race, a stock banshee, I'm fine with that, but a banshee isnt exactly an mx bike stock, but he said hes willing to make it into an mx bike if I win a few races and get more into the sport. Maybe I'll just give up on the dirt bike, I don't want to give up but goddamn. Shits crazy.
  7. Shiiiit, I was kinda rootin for bubba.
  8. Yeah it sucks cause I bought the kx and all the stuff, so its a total of about 2000 bucks i've spent on it, but since I live under his roof its his, and the banshee is his, he just doesnt want it and I want him to keep it. Now my parents want me to get a job, so I dunno maybe they're on crack.
  9. I decided to keep the kx, I'll fix the bars, but I'm too deep into my kx to quit right now. The banshee will get its turn though.
  10. Yeah hopefully the weather doesn't kill the trip.
  11. Well if I sell the kx, my dad gets all the money to buy a utility atv and he said hed give me 300 if I got 2000 for it. 300 won't buy pipes... wish I could get a job, too bad my parents won't let me. I'm in quite a situation here.
  12. Went riding today with my family, on my last ride, I went out by myself with the banshee and flipped it, there were a bunch of hill climbs so I went to them and they were for dirt bikes only, so I turned around but I was up on the side of a hill, so I tipped and the quad fell on me and the handlebars got all bent up, so now the banshees mine because I broke it and my dad wants a big huge utility atv. So now I guess I can make it fast. Kind of sucks that its now "mine" because I just dumped all my money into my kx and I'm not done with what I want to do with it. I think all in all I've put more money into that bike than we bought it for, almost 1000 dollars, we got it for 1100, so almost. He wants to sell it now though, which is gonna suck because I put so much into it.
  13. yeah, I can't wheelie worth a shit on my kx because its so high, when I pick the front wheel up just a little bit it feels way high. I'm glad the banshee is low to the ground.
  14. carbs depend on engine porting and stuff. and stickers! stickers! stickers! from what I've heard, the 2-1 carb setup is awesome, so probably get that and it comes with 33 or 35mm carb. you can get it from trinity racing for 480 or I found a new one on ebay for 420.
  15. not sure. all the models I see have yfm. or yzf.
  16. what a loser, first post hes stirring up shit.
  17. Don't mea to be an ass, but banshees are yfm.
  18. three letters and three numbers y f z 4 5 0
  19. yeah, whenever I ride it after my dad it smokes real bad, he doesn't ride in the powerband.
  20. That has to do with your skills then, a two stroke isnt going to jump like a 4 stroke. You just need to practice on a 2 stroke and you can do it just as good as on a z400, but if you want to lighten stuff, then I guess you could remove tors, parking brake, I wouldn't remove gussets because you're jumping, but you can get lighter bumpers as well, thats all I can think of for now. and suspension helps a lot...from what I've heard, some +2+1 a-arms, and some elkas wouldnt be a bad idea, also a swingarm.
  21. I've just been rolling forward in 1st or second, pulling the clutch in, rev up and drop the clutch. Someone called the cops again though, I wish whoever is doing would come talk to me instead of calling the cops.
  22. just take off the /sponsor.wmv they updated, that thing is sick.
  23. maybe tommorrow, maybe in a couple of weeks, then what? months? years?
  24. Anything can be done on anything, if its fast enough, and the banshee is fast enough, you just have to have the balls to do it.
  25. Yeah I can balance them for about 10 feet almost hitting the bar now, amazing what practicing all evening can do. The sitting down ones I can balance further, which doesn't make sense to me, I'm havin fun though.
