The forks are fine, they just need seals. And I'm not worried about the suspension being setup for my riding style or weight. I just need one thats not blown out for now. Eventually I will get the suspension set up for me, but I'd like to get it at least ridable first. If it's not ridable by May, its getting sold, and the money is going into the banshee. Part of me still wants it because it is really fun to rip around on. Thank god for banshees, thats the only 4 wheeled vehicle I dont feel like a wimp on.

I found a used shock on ebay for 40 bucks. I asked some people on the motocross forums if it looked good, and someone told me that the guy only sells quality stuff, so If I can get this I'm keeping my bike, but if I get it and it doesnt work, I'm definately selling it. The banshee needs some mods desperately though.

Ok, I finally got my 250 fixed. Or so I thought. I got a call from the shop and they said the rear shock is shot and needs to be rebuilt. He said it would cost around $300 to do it. I was about ready to get the fork seals replaced and get a new front tire so it would be ridable, since its getting warmer out. But I guess I won't be riding that anytime soon. I think I might sell it and put the money into the Banshee. That damn bike has been a pit of problems. And the banshee is begging to be modded. What do you guys think?

I'm having the same problem, but I dont think its the reeds or jetting because its an 03 and it used to run perfect before I washed it. I took the parking brake off, which reminds me, do I really need the block off plate? I think I might just take it to the yamaha shop.

I have heard alba doesnt build very good engines. A guy in the dunes said he was very pissed with the way his engine turned out and it was done by alba.
