  1. the gytr cdi is fine. it wont advance your timing but if you combine with some hotter wires you may a see a difference like rocketboy said.
  2. i use cator 927 32:1. great oil. and i use gtx as well.
  3. chest protector
  4. no. to advance the timing you need either a timing key or a adjustable plate.
  5. thats what i thought.
  6. I was wondering what kind of performance gains I would see if i went to 36mm carbs with pod filters. Any ideas? my banshee is stock everything.
  7. speaking of racing. have you planned on any races with your new yfz yet bfs?
  8. go to the local shops around you and ask if they will sponsor you. they might pay your entrace fees if you have a good resume. they might give you a discount on parts. or you can email companies and race shops your resume and they might give you a discount on parts. you probably wont be getting any free stuff. I know a pro racer who still has to pay for a lot of stuff. you dont really get a bunch of free stuff until you start winning in the pro class.
  9. would you do it though? theres always a chance shit can get into your carbs if theyre not filtered directly. i think its just too risky
  10. the airbox isnt sealed. how would air get into it?
  11. because it doesnt filter your carbs directly. they are total crap though. just remove the lid and do what wicked said.
  12. welcome. if you get a banshee youll get hooked.
  13. ah. thanks.
  14. they look like they might be cpis to me or something like them http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BANSHEE-RAC...1QQcmdZViewItem
  15. word.
  16. low compression. you generally rebuild when your compression is low. if youve got good compression and youre losing power the problem is probably elswhere.

  18. youre gonna go 400cc and ride trails?......wierd. if you were just dragging id say go with the CPIs. riding trails and dragging are two different setups. you could probably make the CPIs work in the trails but youd be doing a lot of clutch work. i dunno. 400cc + trails just doesnt sound good to me. you realize that the banshee is a 350cc two stroke. so its already pretty equal to a 450 4 stroke....i think that the way the banshee handles stock you could have all the power in the world and not beat the 450s through the trails. maybe invest in suspension before you go all out with a 400cc. just my .02
  19. does anyone just have sex anymore?
  20. its definately worth it. id get some pro tapers. or some renthals. both are excellent choices. go to a dealer and get the feel for some different bends.
  21. im thinking 60s. ya gotta take it to a dyno like everyone else said though.
  22. http://search-desc.ebay.com/banshee-kickst...Z2QQxpufuZxQ5A1 you coulda tried google ya know.
  23. have you checked compression? check the compression. make sure your air filter is clean and youre jetted correctly. im guessing it might have something to do with your compression though.
