I had a similar problem and I swapped the carbs and the problem swapped as well. So I rebuilt my carbs and now everything works fine. I have also herd that a faulty cdi could do that as well.

I have reciently purchased the Ricky Stator and adjustable plate and set the timing to +4 degrees. Now the bike is very hard to start and it seems that I did loose quite a bit of low end. I was wondering the the best timing would be for a trail bike with 28mm carbs., 1/2 reed spacers, boysen reeds, pro lite pistons, fmf fatty's, and high rev. cdi. would be. I just want the low end back and make it easier to start with all the power I can get. Thanks

I would like to find the intake and possibly the boot or the complete setup. Im looking for better low end and better fuel economy. Let me know what you got.

I could use a little advise on a few tips. Has anyone come up with a trick to make the clutch pull a little easier? How about the throttle. What kind of jetting and fuel mixture should I run with a set of 28mm mikuni's, fmf fatty's, reed spacer, std. pro lites, and boysen reeds. My bike runs real good but it smokes alot and gets very poor fuel mileage. Please help with some advise. thanks

Update; I barrowed a cdi unit from a friends bike, didn't help. I pulled off the reed cage off of the side that is not hitting and the reeds looked good. Which that are fairly new anyways. I will switch the carbs sometime soon to see if that will help.

What would explain the fuel comming out to that side exhaust pipe?

Alright, I have been running in a series of problems with my shee. First, I couldn't get it to start without using carb. cleaner. I wasnt getting any fuel, so I purchased new carbs. and now it will fire right up. The problem is, it will only hit on 1 cylinder. I have switch the plug wires around, swapped plugs, and even check compression, which is good. I know I am getting fuel because it sprays fuel out of the exhaust. I pull the plugs out and the one that is not hitting looks brand new. Does this sound like a cdi unit problem? What else should I check. I am mechanically incline but fairly new to the shee. I'm used to working on vehicles.

I am looking for some adjuster screws for the top of my carbs. I have 28mm mikunis with tors elliminator, but am missing the screws that the throttle cable is supposed to fit in.Does anyone have any extras, or know where i can find some.

I know that the throttle cable for carbs with the tors and without the tors are different. I have been to motion pro and rocky mountians websites. Which cable cable is the one without tors.
