  1. Im looking to spend as close to 150 as possible for some used pipes. Im sure thats way out of reach, but times are hard. I had a set of fatty's bought through bhq for 140 but when I sent out the money order, the other end decided that he wanted to keep the pipes then.
  2. I think I am looking for something a little less than what you have got. Probably not in such good shape. Looks mean nothing to me, just performance.
  3. What kind of money we looking at? That may be too much for me.

  16. What is the best way to get the scratches out of plastics. What should I use to get the imprint that was left behind when I peeled off my graphics. I like the color of my plastic, which is black, and I do not want to do anything major to it. Also, what does everyone use to get everything polished so nice. I see all this stuff, like carbs., cyl., cases, etc. Any tips for me guys. I'm fairly new to my banshee and I love it, but I want it to be a looker without spending much cash. Thanks guys.
  17. If I'm noy mistaking, the plug caps have a gap in them for the spark to jump across. The ohmmeter should be maxed out when checking them.
  18. I just got back from riding at a local track and my banshee is running great. Jumping good and reving good. I am 100% sure that the cut outs are towards my cylinders. I think I will get new carbs though. Just to see if I can get more power out of it.
  19. I'm telling ya, the cut aways are towards the cylinders. It runs excellent.
  20. Alright, I maybe wrong but I had always thought that the right way for the sleeves in the carbs to be the curved (more air) side should be towards your air box and the flat side of the sleeve toward the cylinders. I had mine that way and I couldn't get my bike started for nothing. The only way it would fire is to prime the cyl. with carb. cleaner and it would then die when the cleaner was spent. I just got a wild idea that maybe the sleeves could be in backwards. So, I switched the sleeves to opposite carbs and fired the banshee up. I runs perfect, idles great. Is this the right way for the sleeves or am I fixing a problem with another problem. Could I hurt something by riding it like this. The plugs look good after riding the bike like this. If this isn't the correct way for the sleeves, then what could the problem be. I appreciate everyone's help for this is a killer site for a new shee owner like myself. Thanks
  21. Ok, to add something to my problem to maybe figure this thing out. I can get my shee running by primming it with carb cleaner in the plug holes. This thing really acts funny. It will bog at times and it will idle high at times. I think I have a intake air leak somewhere by spraying it with the cleaner and it really idles up. Could this be my complete problem or just part of it. I cannot see any obvious cracks in the intakes. Should I use any RTV sealant to the gaskets. Should I take off my reed spacers. My shee will sometimes only hit powerband. Other times it just boggs out. Im not so sure if it really is the cdi unit, which I haven't gotten yet. I can pull the plugs after running the bike for a little bit and they are perfectly brown. What else could be wrong, or could my whole problems be the intake leaks. The bike will absolutely not start without priming it.
  22. I appreciate the help from all of you. I have check all of the above and nothing seems to be working. I have done a top end rebuild with new reeds. Im getting tired of messing with this thing, so I think I will sit back and wait for my cdi unit to show up. Lets hope that this takes care of it since I plan on going for a ride this weekend. I will keep in touch. Thanks
  23. I got a tip from a friend of mine that it is the cdi unit. He was working on a bike with the same problems and after trying several stuff the cdi unit worked. So I went ahead and ordered one. Ill keep everyone posted when I find out.
