WELL I HAVE HAD BOTH V2'S AND THE G-3'S I CAN SAY THAT THE DIFFERENCE IN THE TWO REEDS IS PROBABLY ALMOST NOT EVEN NOTICEABLE IN MY OPINION A TOSS UP THE V-FORCE ARE A VERY GOOD REEDS BUT I ALSO LIKE THE G-3'S IM NOT HERE TO BICKER BUT I HAVE TO LAUGH AT A FEW OF YOU IT'S LIKE SOME OF YOU FEEL G-3'S ARE BEING SHOVED DOWN YOUR THROAT OR THERE OUT TO LIE TO YOU ITS CALLED ADVERTISING THERE TRYING TO SELL A PRODUCT KID'S AND ANY ONE SELLING A PRODUCT IS GOING TO TRY TO SHOW WHY THERE'S IS BEST AND REGARDLESS OF THAT MAYBE YOUR PISSED BECAUSE YOU BOUGHT V2'S AND NOW WANT G3'S NO NEED TO BE RUDE CUT THE GUY A BREAK
  2. TYPICAL MIKUNI JETS THAT I HAVE SEEN JUST HAVE THE JET # IE 390 OR 300 OR 350 THESE LOOK VERY SIMILAR OK BUT THEY DONT LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME AND THEY SAY 400RD INSTEAD OF JUST 400
  3. I GOT SOME JETS FROM MY BUILDER THEY ARE A 400 RD HAS ANY ONE EVER HEARD OF THESE THEY ARE A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE STANDARD MIKIUNI
  4. I DONT THINK THERE WILL BE ANY BENIFIT TO RUNNING STRAGIT RACE GAS YOU DONT HAVE THE COMPRESSION TO NISESITATE IT BUT A MIX PROABLY WOULD NOT HURT YOU ADVANCE YOUR TIMING TO INCREASE THE BURN TIME OF YOUR FUEL THE LONGER BURN TIME GENERATERS MORE POWER

WELL I HAVE GONE THROUGH ALOT OF THE SAME THINGS YOU HAVE WHAT I HAVE LEARNED IF YOU DONT HAVE CRISP THROTTLE RESPONSE AND ITS SLUGISH YOU ARE PROABLY RICH IF YOU WHERE LEAN YOU WILL LOSE POWER AND NOT BE ABLE TO PULL HIGHER GEARS ALSO IF YOU HAVE AN UNBURNT GAS AND OIL MIX I THINK YOU ARE RUNNING TO MUCH OCTANE THE HIGHER YOUR OCTANE THE MORE RESITANT TO DETINATION IT IS BUT IT ALSO BURNS SLOWER YOU WANT ENOUGH OCTANE THAT YOU DONT GET DETONATION BUT YOU ALSO WANT IT TO BURN FULLY IF IT DOESNT BURN FULLY YOU WILL GET RESUDULE FUEL ON YOUR PLUG WHICH I BELIEVE SCREWS UP YOUR PLUG READ YOU WANT IT TO BURN FAST ENOUGH THAT IT LEAVES THE WHITE BROWN OR BLACK ON A PLUG DURING A PLUG TEST YOU WILL ALSO LOSE POWER USING TO HIGH AN OCTANE FOR YOUR BIKE AND I ALSO KNOW IF YOU RUN TO HIGH AN OCTANE YOU WILL EVENTUALLY GET A BLACK PLUG OR DARKER PLUG AFTER YOU RIDE IT FOR A WHILE I RUN 18CC DOMES PORTED AND HAVE IGNITION BOX AMONG OTHER THNGS AND IM SHOOTING FOR A MAGIC #104 OCTANE THESE ARE JUST MY 2 CENTS
  6. THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT CAME WITH IT SEEM TO BE VERY VAGE STOCK IS OBVIOUS BUT WHAT IS CURVE ONE TWO AND TREE IN THAT ORDER.
  7. I HAVE RUN MY BIKE USING AMSIOL AT THE 100:1 MIX NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. DEPENDING ON WHERE I'AM I RIDE MY BIKE ABOUT ONCE A WEEK UNLESS IN THE OREGON DUNES THEN WE RIDE ALL WEEK. I USALLY RIDE ANY WHERE FROM 1 TO FIVE HOURS AT A TIME. I HAVE RIDDEN MY BIKE FROM HAUSER BEACH ACCESS TO THE SPIN REAL CAMP GROUND ABOUT 7 MILES GETTING ON AND OFF THE GAS NO PROBLEM. EVERYONE I RIDE WITH IN OREGON RUNS IT AT 100:1 AND SWEARS BY IT WITH NO PROBLEM IN BANSHEES AND 250R'S. WE HAD ONE GUY TAKE HIS BIKE IN TO THE SHOP FOR A ROUTINE RING AND PISTON CHANGE AND THEY TOLD HIM IT WASN'T REALLY NESSARY THAT EVERYTHING WAS STILL IN TIP TOP SHAPE.

HEY I PUT A REALLY GREAT POST UP ON THE DILLEMA OF THE TR-6 I HAD THEM AND FOUND OUT LATER THAT THE T-5 WAS THE BETTER PIPE FOR A MOTOR THAT HAS PORTING, TIMING ADAVANCE AND COMPRESSION THIS STRAIGHT FROM TOOMEY. THEY WILL SWAP YOU FOR FREE THE TR-6 FOR T-5'S I DID IT AND I HAD MY PIPES FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS I CLEANED THEM UP REALLY GOOD AND SENT THEM OFF AND THEY SENT ME BRAND NEW T-5'S IF YOU WANT SEND ME A PM AND I WILL SEND YOU MY WHOLE POST.
  9. Does anyone have the G-3 how do you like them and do you think there better than the v-force. If you have tryed the G-3's and didn't like them why.
  10. ACTUALLY WHAT I SHOLD HAVE SAID IS IM LOOKING FOR WHAT I SHOULD START OUT WITH FOR NEEDLE JETS AND NEEDLES IE 5F21 NEEDLE AND O-8 NEEDLE JET WHICH I THINK THESE ARE WAY OFF

  14. Toomey TR-6 well all thought most of the posting in these forums have really been insufficient I do appreciate the fact they do exist. I was unaware up till know that if you had a stock motor that you should go with the TR-6 if you plan not to change exhaust porting, compression, or timing and such. These words straight from Toomey themselves they say due to the length of the head pipe I believe these work best with stock motor. Now if you decide to make upgrades as listed above your choice of pipe should be the Toomey T-5
