dont cap it off, the pressure will vent somewhere and thats the best place for sure. i have mine removed and just have a hose that runs down the frame and vents to the atmosphere around the pipes somewhere.

all the way! when youre more than 10% off its time for a rebuild. you may get ur compression back with a set of rings, but those piston skirts may be laden with internal cracks and other stress risers. plus a bore job will make sure your cylinders arent ovalized.

resplit the cases and cycle the gears with the top case have off. make sure theres nothing floatin around in there from your install. and that cam shaped stud thing is a mystery. every one and their dog says its adjustable but mine is a factory yamaha part is not cam shaped. its dead true, and so is the one i pulled out of the bike when it broke.

that shock still wont fit right with a plus 6 arm. the arm is designed for a factory shock and therefore will have the mounts relocated to the proper position for the shorter shock. even with excessive droop the linkage may bottom out before the shock can be bolted in the mount.

some things too check are your coolant level since ur burning some. but mainly is your radiator clean? pop the wter pump cover off and look at the impellar are the blades worn or are they good to go? pop off the clutch cover and look at the plastic gear that drives the impellar. ill assume jetting is out since you didnt mentioned doing any mods before this occurence. im leaning real strongly in the way of that impellar and its drive gear though if its getting too hot. one more thought is to check your compression. a head gasket leak will force the coolant out of the overflow and onto youtr pipes, hence the burning and smell.

proper jetting is a big issue in keeping your bike cool. but if you do see the need try the engine ice. that is some good shit.

those two look a little too production for me. i wanna go for a machined/fabricated look. that tail gator has too much plastic. the motor i have will be perfect. i just need to find out what to do about connecting the output shaft to the blender blades. maybe mill a square adapter? or turn out some type of collar that clapms to the out put shaft and is splined onto the blender pitcher? i dunno.
