  1. Good call on the FF. Is it beam or a-arm? Im pretty interested in these things, so any details would be cool.
  2. the one about the ez out reminds me of snapping off taps. choosing the wrong tap drill has never been so fun.
  3. howdy
  4. HAHA, I wouldnt mind the challenge, but I cant measure for shit unless its with some calipers and its (the frame) on the list of things I dont have room for in college.
  5. ya, but im sure he payed way more than i did.
  6. Thats what I was afraid of. I cant use torrents here in college, got the ports blocked or some shit. Looks like Ill be lugging the desktop to the girlfriends house for some quality download time.
  7. Oh man, so much wrong there. haha j/k. But a full float with a 331 would be a lil spicier. For my truck, Id trade it in on a Geiser or Smith prerunner.
  8. Firehead, you wanna shoot me a copy of Solidworks 06? Pretty Please? Or any ideas on where I can get it for free?
  9. I run an iShock on my 108 stroker fiddy. Its handled some hits I never expected to take on that bike with that little of a shock.
  10. What is it about that joint that assures so much more travel? Is the body machned in such a way that it allows a greater range of motion, but in a limited area? Maybe more travel when the wheels are truned straight than at lock?
  11. I'm not sure if this is related in any way, but RS himself died not too long ago. That may have had something to do with QC. But I have been running my RS stator for two years now and no issues, though it doesnt get ridden near as much as some of you guys; especially since its now 65 miles away.
  12. More than likely.
  13. Partially true. The reading goes like this for a E10016-D2. E is for electrode, 100 is for minimum tensile strength in KPSI. The second (1) is for welding position, and the (16) is for polarity and special notes. While the (D2) indicates alloying elements. When it comes to positions the numbers go: 1) All positions 2) Flat welding and horizontal fillet welds 3) Flat only 4) Flat, horizontal, overhead, or vertical down.
  14. send them back to works?
  15. What's the difference anyways? Whether I'm on a track or sand I still hit jumps, hard turns, whoops, and the occasional G-out. As long as they are for someone of reasonably close weight and riding ability, you should be OK.
  16. i dunno, bought like a new 600 sport bike.
  17. 8 threads down.
  18. im sure he does his own machine work. plus pistons can be had for cheap if you're in the right place at the right time.
  19. true, but even still. a four stroke pipe can get pricey really quick, 450 head for the price of a noss? i dont think so, and they are unchangeable.
  20. are those 400ex stockers?
  21. That would be very handy. THX for the info.
  22. i have '06s too. i didnt know that they were longer. oh well more travel with the new combo!
  23. id have to see how well mine turn out when im done. im still running into problems with my spindle design. im thinking a press fit with some small bolts to make sure it doesnt go anywhere, and is replaceable.
  24. what gauge is that? im deciding between .063, .090, and .125.
  25. I am working on mine as we speak. The lower a-arm design is complete, and I started machining parts last friday. I only get about 1hour/week to use the mill so its slow going. Its actually going to be a new arm/spindle combo, should be trick. The hard part is going to be to design my aluminum upper without going billet ($$$). download AutoCAD 2007 from the autodesk website for free and ill send you my drawings.
