  1. if youre going to increase airflow (i.e. portwork, bigger carbs) id say stick with chrome t-5's. theyre cheaper, and work better with more modded motors. chrome is pretty easy to clean id say. the jetting forum here will get you setup with a good start point on em. but im not sure about the kit because its ideal for an otherwise stock motor but ive got other variables like intake work and clean-up porting then it will be off. maybe someone else with more experience wil chime in.
  2. ok, ive got factory wires and NGK caps. what should i be running?
  3. pods are the little clamp on filters that go directly onto the carb mouths. the water bottle is the coolant overflow tank that is mounted on the factory airbox. you take the airbox off when running pods so i need some way to remove that stupid bottle that doesnt work really anyways. can i just run the overflow line out back by where the fuel overflows are, no bottle, just straight hose?
  4. that is some major league suckage . i believe id take some of that renthal rash out on his ass. i can count the number of people ive let ride the shee on one hand. the only guy who has ridden it more than once has one built just like mine so im pretty confident when he rides it. plus he can run circles around me. all the others who've ridden are skeered of that turquoise blue powerband .

  12. as for who makes them i dunno . but i do know that duncan racing is a distributor for them. they do have silencers, but im not sure about a hush kit. i also dont know for sure how much louder they will be than stock but i sure it will be. someone who has a set get us informed here.
  13. anyone know a cheap way to relocate your water bottle when going to pods? i was thinkin of hackin off the back if the factory airbox cause its got the two bolts but i dunno. maybe i shouls just buy one but theyre like 20 for that tiny peice of alum. or am i just too cheap?
  14. i know you said you need to keep the stock exhaust setup but what about some PT mids? They look almost identical to stock, especially if youre just some two-bit park ranger. that'd give you tons more power. Just have them PCed or painted a high temp black and call it good.
  15. dude, steel around here is cheap. what are you going to use to make it? mild or cro-mo? if you are going to use mild just find a local steel yard and price it. around here a stick (20 ft) of 1in 13ga mild is like 9 sumthin and 1.5in is only like 12 sumthin. anyways where do you live? ill bring you a stick to do one for me if you live near okc OK.

  18. it keeps it from seperating and destroying your motor, as well as making sure the crank journals are always 180 degres apart.

  22. i run mine all day at LS only stopping to eat and gas er up. but duning is wide open so you get tons of air across the rad. id maybe shut it down if i was doing tight closed trails but running dunes i never even think of it.
  23. ok, i broke down the head today and i found that i had not one, but two torn o-rings on the head. one on each side. the torn ring on the left side was the one that is actually the base-type gasket, the one that seals the head to the jug. the right side that had gone bad was the one that seals the dome to the jug. anyways im thinkin that somehow this might have somethin to do with my leaky cooling system. does anyone know if this might also affect engine performance, if so where would the loss be noticed. thanx a lot guys.
