If you can not get a override transmission right now. An air shifter with ignition kill will do wonders for you with a stock trans in the 1/8 or 1/4 mile. You can pin the throttle off the line and never let off. You just tap the shift button at each shift point and keep her pinned wide open. :biggrin:

Namura and pro-x pistons are cast pistons just like the stock ones. Wiseco pistons are forged pistons. The wiseco's seem to be a much more reliable piston in my opionion. I do have a friend that bought the namuras for the same reasons as referred to in previous posts ($$$). I do not think the cast pistons will take as much abuse as the forged wiseco's do. That is probably why we see as many broken skirts on cast pistons as we do. I have never had a wiseco skirt break off. I have melted a few down due to running them to lean. LOL But, that was my fault. I will personally stick with wiseco pistons. Hope you got so useful info for the posts. :biggrin:

Are you racing on sand or dirt ? Do these races have a timing system or is it heads up and someone standing at the finish watching to see who wins ?

Tonight is the shootout for March. Gates open at 5pm. Shootout starts around 9pm. You usually get to make plenty of passes between 6pm and 9pm to see what your bike is going to run before the shootout starts. Hope to see some people out at the track. :biggrin:

This was pretty much my experience several years ago. Except I use maxima 927. At one point several years ago I switched to amsoil per a friend. Shortly after I put a new crankshaft in it. When I tore it down everything looked like hell inside. Dry and metal to metal contact with lots of wear present. I replaced the crank and the topend. Went back to maxima 927 and have not had any problems. Everytime I tear down the top end to inspect. It looks perfect. Oil is present and all components look nice. Of course this is just my opinion. But, I know what works in my motor. Yes the price is good and when you first switch to it. You will think damn this shit is good. But, the fact of the matter is. That you are basically running straight gas thru your motor with basically no oil to lube it. At least that was my experience. Good luck with your choice.

Friday Night March 9th Atv Shooutout at Temple Raceway. Located just outside Temple Texas on Hwy 95 south of Temple and north of Taylor Texas. $7.00 at the gate to get in and $10.00 to race.
