Hey guys my buddy is looking into a project and is in need of a Banshee engine. He says he doesnt need the electronics or the carbs. THe bottom end has to be fine, top end could need rebuilt..... Doesn't matter if its a whole unit or if its dissassembled. Let me know what ya have and ill let my friend know! Thanks guys

All is good my buddies banshee is sitting in the shed now blown up beacuse he tried to keep up with the yfz. I went with the yfz because i wanted something that could handle a bump bigger then 2 inches. And a bike with a real powerband not the 2 second blow your wad... wait for it.... oh....oh there it is! oh its done

I woulda put more into the engine before i started with the rest. No way that thing has enough balls to sling them big ass tires. Id be wanting around 650 hp somewhere around 1000 ft lbs before putting those on it. Still pretty sick though!

The banshee is the biggest POS quad out there, slow heavy tank, always blowin up god damn. This quad is the reason the piston manufa. are in business Is this good?

I have heard on several accounts that they get dirty inside and dont get a good connection. Maybe take it apart and clean it maybe put some di-electric grease in it? Thinking about taking mine apart to clean it just to be sure.

We have had the carbs apart to inspect them. Everything checked out and is working correctly. The thing will run alright for about 10 seconds but after that the thing is scorching hot and 10 seconds isnt an exageration. I don't really know much about these engines, so i dont even know where to start with it. We were told by a guy it could be the water pump but why would it only backfire and run like shiz on one side only? We took the cover off the pump to check anyways it appears to be working but the plastic impeller looks like its rubbing on the outside cover and the housing is this normal? Should we take the cover off and see what it looks like inside it, as you can't see much from the outside. It was running great and then all of a sudden this happend trail riding. The plugs looked good nice tan color to them both. Any info is appreciated.

you only need 4 things to make an engine run Air Fuel Compression Spark So try cleaning your carbs, clean your air filter,make sure the petcock is functioning properly,run a compression check,and check your spark and all connections

I'm not sure on when it happens sounds like it may just be low end power it is not mine so i dont know exactly he is going to pull both off make sure everything is equal and to the correct specification and clean them up see if it does anything run the shat out of it try and clean it up a little bit.Thanks for the info guys!
