  1. I had a problem with getting past 2nd gear, the tors wouldn't let the engine rev up. I had removed the parking brake...for the new swingarm, and didn't unplug the wire on the steering stem to the parking brake. Anyways, try unplugging the tors system to see if thats the problem. There's a little black box under the left side front fender, the wire from the parking brake to steering stem area, and then the wires to both carbs. I would unplug them, and see. You can plug them back in easily. I just installed the tors removal kit, Rockeymountain Atv...53$, comes with everything you need. It's called the Motion pro throttle kit, for stock banshee thumb throttle. Drill press, tap handle, mill file, and lots of 3 in 1 oil.
  2. At sea level with those pipes you should be at 320 mains...+ or - a size, I would start at 320 and do the plug check.
  3. I like Holyman's fart analogy Anyways, lifes a bitch and then you die
  4. fucking suits, the middle/upper middle working class pays for everyone!! Thanks for the info...did not know that.
  5. Sorry to hear the bad news, fellow banshee owner. Wait to get married in your late 20's. Women don't always know what they want, and us guys as well. I think when a woman hides her friends from you, she still wants a little freedom( sorry bro a little brutal honesty is needed) Things will get good for you, enjoy your ass off...hook up with other chicks, married life is cool, but can be complicated as well, maybe a break from one another is what you both need, when she catches wind of you hanging out with other girlies, she'll come runn'in home(the ball will be in your court)
  6. Looking for some +2 a arms. I will be fine with just the rec arms... I've heard alot of good things about Quicksand arms, what about the Armadillo arms from Rockymountain? I also seen the Janssen arms for 425, but reaming is required(is that something better to avoid?) I just want a quality product for a good price, and a company I can count on to fix any problems, if there are any. Do the LSR rec arms require reaming? I think those are in the 600$ range though.
  7. thanks for the replies
  8. I just wanted a little input from you guys. What would be a better move for me right now...+2 A arms or a cool head? I have a stock motor with pipes, +4 swingarm, elkas in front(set up for +2's) a tcs rear shock rebuild on the way, and 13/41 gearing for the sand. From what I hear the wider A arms are worth it, but which one will make a bigger difference right now?
  9. Did you reset the slides and sync the carbs correctly?
  10. Thanks, shock is in the mail
  11. I just used my bench grinder to grind the pins flat, and then used a punch to drive it out the other side. Carefully measure first, I thought I made it too short at first, but it was perfect Just make sure you take off the right link, and look how that master link is suppose to fit. The chain will stretch alot after you run it the first time, you'll have to readjust the carrier one more time.
  12. I added a +4 swingarm, and am looking to upgrade rear shock. I wanted to know what was better, a total rebuild on stocker by Todd @ TCS, or a new works shock? Whish I could afford an Elka in the rear, I have them up in front.
  13. I like mine...big difference from stock. Your feet will stick to these pegs. You will be able to lean alot harder on turns, much more surface area. Meat did a review on these on his website, "The Banshee zone" They are pricey but nice to have.
  14. Thanks again guys, I unplugged the connector @ steering stem area from the clutch perch as suggested, and that did the trick.
  15. Thanks Mat, I'll do that, I figured it might be a TORS issue, just ordered new thumb throttle kit to illiminate TORS
  16. Phil at crank works...Phoenix Az, he does work for alot big names
  17. Fellow HQ'ers...just installed +4 swingarm, new 13 tooth sprocket/41 in rear, and new DID chain in rear. Installation went very well. I think I may have cut chain a link too short though. I have about 3/4 inch of play with no weight on bike...about 1/4(maybe) with weight on bike. Any how, runs fine until I try to gas her up a little. It almost feels like the engine does not want to go any faster. Nothing is binding...axle/carrier/wheels,sprockets,chain all turn freely. I did remove parking brake and still have the TORS on, any ideas?
  18. The kid is ripping you off.
  19. I would like a little input on this...should I get Vforce reeds first or get the cool head first? I only have pipes right now, T-5's. Which one will make a bigger difference?
  20. Yes... the swingarm just got here today, and it looks awesome. My shocks hopefully will arrive soon. I am pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of the swingarm. It did take a little longer than they said initially, but the wait was worth it. I'm sure the shocks will be here in time for my next outing to Gordon's well(south of Glamis) RNBRAD ...did your stock rear shock hook up ok, being the swingarm is a +4??And did the factory brakeline work as well? In Janssen's defense...I don't like to bad mouth a company and/or person, I'm sure my situation was one of the few isolated cases, Joel was a nice guy, I think he's probably real busy right now. Any how, all is well in Banshee land
  21. thanks for the replies, I guess the majority of you had good service. I'll sit back a little, though I'm coming up on the 2 month mark pretty quick.
  22. Ordered a +4 chrome swingarm(which they had in stock) and a set of front Elkas...no rezzies(which they had to order) I ordered these items on 11-23-04, they charged my account that same day...still no parts. They would tell me waiting on Elka, than Elka was suppose to mail the shocks to me direct(2 weeks ago) The swing arm was suppose to be sent to me as well...2weeks ago, then I talk to Joel, who states I'll have everything This past weekend...1-15-05. So I wait till the 17th and call. Joel isn't there, and nobody knows nothing. Left a message , no return on phone call. Initially I was told 3 weeks because of the shocks...well? I look at it as I have paid for parts I don't have...and who knows if and when. I'm pissed now, and plan on cancelling through the credit company, cuzz who knows if Janssen would ever refund my money. Just a pain in the ass to go through the whole dispute process w/credit co. Thank God I did'nt pay with a money order...more trouble Anyone else with a bad experience with Janssen?
  23. For the price difference, I would go Toomey, I think your'e paying for the name, and the stainless finish, but for the sand chrome is fine.
  24. Like what everyone is saying...they work really good on stock/bolt on mods. But if porting is in the future(probably) T-5's all the way. A friend of mine ran t-6's, and as soon as porting was done... ...T-5's are cheaper, and will grow with your mods better. I here Fatties are also a good pipe to run, if you want all around riding.
