  5. I just pulled off the clutch side case to look at the water impeller. And the housing that the impeller sits in looks kinda marked up but thats at the very bottom where the impeller doesnt touch but as you go up more on the left side of the housing it feels un even with the rest of it like it has been rubbing but the impeller looks fine. Does anyone know if this is this normal? And will I be okay to put it back together like it is?
  6. I am putting my jugs back on after they just got bored and the guy at the machine shop said I wouldnt need new base gaskets because they still looked good. Is that true can I reuse a gasket if it's not torn or ripped? Also should I put any kind of silicone on with the gasket or just stick them on with only the gasket? thanks
  7. Yeah I would say if it's not killing the mottor that must mean that your to lean better change the mains for bigger ones!!
  8. Im going to order a noss head does anyone know if it improves cooling?? Also I want to order some 19cc domes I live in salt lake city at about 4300 feet above sea level will I be able to run 19cc with premium pump gas? if not how much is race fuel?
  9. I have a 96 bansheee and it has k&n clamp ons and fmf fatties and when I rode it last summer at the dunes it would getting really hot. it would boil over after some hard riding but it is usually about 90 to 95 degrees and my pipes would glow red at night when I would ride it hard I believe we are about 4200 feet above sea level I have 330 mains in it now and im adding a new top end .030 wisecos and noss head and boyessen reeds with spacers what do you guys think I should run in the mains to help this problem?? or perhaps should I check to see if its a problem in the cooling system?? it ran strong before just really hot so im not sure what to do. any help would be appreciated thanks
  10. okay I have a 96 banshee and I am doing a bunch of stuff to it . fmf fatties, k&n clamp on's, boost bottle, boyessen reeds, reed spacer, noss head 19cc domes and a brand new .030 over wisecos. It had the pipes and the k&n's already on it but thats it and im adding the rest. And I was running 330 main at about 4400 feet above sea level. and I think stock pilots.Do you guys think I should change my pilots at all I heard you are sopposed to if you do reeds?? It has been running lean and now with these extra goodies on it im not sure what to go at?? And also what about the needle clip position should I maybe change it at all?? I dont want to mess up this new top end at all. Any help would be appreciated thanks
  11. well im running 330 main jets.Do you guys think that I should maybe drop the clip on the needle jet and richen that??? does anyone know what the stock neddle jet click is soppose to be set at??
  12. My banshee would get really hot at the dunes the pipes coming out of the exhaust ports would be bright red at night when I go up sand mountain and sometimes it would spit antifreeze out of the over flow. So im going to add a noss head and thinking about an impeller from pro design do you guys think that would help??? would some different coolant maybe help also?? also I heard that those pro design impellers cost horse power is that true?
  13. my banshee has fmf fatties and k&n clamp on's and im doing a bunch of mods .030 wiseco pistons and boyesen reeds pro series and reed spacer and a welded crank im also getting a head and im not sure what size domes im going to need I live in salt lake city where the elevation is about 4400 feet above sea level. I was thinking about going with some 19cc domes do you think that would be okay running 91 octane?
  14. I pulled my pistons out and im going to order some new and bore the cylinders but piston has a metric size on it 0.50mm does any one know what that is in inches I think it is around twenty thousanths of an inch but not positive.
  15. I took off my head on my banshee last night to put on a cool head and looking at the cylinders there is a little groove just enough to feel with my finger on the left cylinder. I looked down toward the piston and it looks like it's from the gap on the piston ring has worn a little groove in the cylinder. Should I pull the pistons out and bore the cylinder and put new rings and pistons in? or should I not even worry about it. or maybe just hone the cylinders? it has not been to long since the top end got redone maybe a couple of years.
  16. no I dont believe you should be worried. just get some 2 stroke oil and put some on a rag and wipe the cylinder down with it this will keep the cylinder lubed for install too
  17. I have a 96 banshee with pipes and k&n I am thinking about ordering one of the noss machineheads and im not sure what size domes I should get for it. isnt the more compression the better? I was thinking with going for some 19cc domes is that to much compression? I do have my crank welded so it should be able to handle it.
