gee "renthall" steering ???? he could of at least copied the spelling off the handlebar pad , front bumper looks pretty crooked to me (unlike the seller) , maybe i'm getting old but there seems to be some pretty bad stress marks in those blue plastics.... i got it !!! it's the crooked warning decals on the plastics that makes it so fast.............

only thing i remember is that up until '99 they used letters, some government format or something... '00 and up started 10th digit '0' = 2000, '1' = 2001,'2' = 2002, etc,etc........ there is some cross reference for the letters but i can't find it

are you sure you got the plate for top-end and not bottom-end ???? the top-end plate goes under the cylinders and the bottom-end plate goes under the cylinder head. i'm also using stock studs with no modifications ....

see my post on my stroker crank install, just finished breaking in the motor and without the port work to match the transfers on the stroker combo you won't get nearly the benifits it could give you, you will also need stroker pistons, as the transfers are quite different on them, wiseco 795 series. i almost pissed my pants when i laid into it, mad fast !!!!! stroker crank install

i know exactly what you're going through, totalled my car up in philly in a night street race in '93, broke 3 ribs one of which punctured my lung and collapsed it. spent a week in the hospital after they put in a chest tube and reinflated my lung. had to sleep sitting up in the hospital bed, could'nt laugh, sneeze, cough, or hiccup without it feeling like the end of the world, time heals all wounds and i'm happy to say no reoccurances on the lung and you should soldier on with time too...

i would'nt try my own port job unless i had a proven jig or template and some expierience in the matter, take out too much meat and your jugs are about useless. a buddy of mine had another buddy who ports car heads for race engines do his and pretty much fcuked them up, he also polished them which is a no-no for 2 stoke motors because alot of the fuel atomization is made when the fuel/air mixture tumbles through the cylinders intake ports, polishing limits the available turbulence neede to properly atomize (mix) the fuel/air mixture, good for car motors bad for 2-strokes. try Lane over at lake's motorsports as he will spend as much time on the phone with you as you need... he went totally out of his way for me and even called me back at home to answer questions and offered to help me jet my bike for his port job, couldn't have been more satisfied with the work and service i received from them.
