  2. hear dat, i'd like to turf that groundhog...
  3. for crissakes, split the cases and the right rod showing heat discoloration at the journal, and crank bearings looking bad. rebuild this puppy or replace. don't know how much extra work required to go with a long rod something about short series pistons? what's involved with a stroker?? trying to limit downtime until at least the summer months...
  4. v-force $$$, practically indestuctible...
  5. geezo, and i bitched about my final value fees, hope the buyer did'nt paypal him....
  6. they spec. the 2S for oil injection/post mix (blaster) and 2R for pre-mix, dunno the exact difference, i kind got away from the 2R and have been using castor 927 for a while...
  7. i'm thinking the j-arm ended in '89 not positive though. pretty sure it's the 10th digit in the VIN # that denotes the year, '99 and lower were letters while '00 and up are numerical, i'd have to check the clymer's manual. providing it's the original frame....
  8. huh, looking at the motor in the picture it does'nt appear to have squat done to it, let alone some serious paint wear and grime build up. maybe some ultra compression top-secret looking stock head or new fangled titanium-plutonium pistons with a hidden flux-capacitor, i still can't break 90MPH in the 1/4....
  9. huh, that's pretty close to me, shoulda e-mailed the dude and got an eyewitness account of how bad it really looked, let alone rode and sounded, prolly worse than the "one flawless banshee" i looked at a while back that had oil leaking out of the silencers when i stood it up to check out the bottom side. some people
  10. had 'em on my '99 that i sold to my buddy last month, liked 'em better than pro-circuits sounded about the same, and always EZ to keep clean...
  11. whoops, thought it was the top end, just tore the whole thing down, and it's in the bottom, kudos to boonman, as the stator can be turned backwards by hand, but nothing doin' try to hand crank it by the kickstarter, any opinion on the trinity head or noss head being better than my cool head since it's already apart and i have an friend interesed in my cool head????
  12. www.outerwears.net they have a good website, can custom make any size/color outerwear desired, check it out - or ph# 1-800-967-3450
  13. actually kenny has tooken care of me a few times, prolly where the jugs will end up if their still good enough to be honed.
  14. was just working there today, i'm in turnersville, anywhere else sweet to ride besides port or lacy????
  15. arghhhhhh.. don't say that please, that crank is what wuz keeping me up with other banshees with ignitions and carbs. i still had 26's with a stock cdi.
  16. plugs were just replaced last time out, which was about 4 hours with the 26mm carbs, bike felt the same as always, just finished putting on the 2 into 1 and was trying to work out the bugs and see how it felt, pulled good until about 3/4 throttle then kina leveled off. trinity kit was completely all brand new components, pulled the plugs when i got home they are medium chocolate, bone dry, no noticeable silver flecking to the naked eye, will hit them with a magnifying glass later.. bike has been a screamer since i bought it from a friend in 01, after the motor was rebuilt because he had hydro-locked it, never had any problems until the carb. change.. also was first ride with the dyna fs, which is set like my buddies banshee with the 2 into 1 on curve 2, maybe a little too aggresive before i got the carb. package tuned right....
  17. wish i could say, as it came in a kit off of ebay that i bought, but it was in the packaging from terrycable with their web address printed on it. check it out and it should work out pretty good for you....
  18. just got one for a stock thumb throttl from Terrycable part# is as follows YAM35540TH, it is listed for a blaster with a lectron carb, but works well, try terrycable's website: www.terrycable.com
  19. nahh, motors been together for over a year, i guess what i was fishing for was if the main jet is too small and could i have leaned it out while WOT, its a 35PWK, the 26mm stockers that came off had 290 jets in them....
  20. way down south, like exit 38 (atlantic city), then 45 minutes east towards philly.. was gonna roll out to Lacy Twp. this weekend with a pack of banshee nuts, but if you read my post that idea just went in the can.. i think my boy might have a little somethin' sometin' for him.
  21. love to tell you how it feels but tonight was first time out with my dyna fs and a new trinity and seized the motor.... two of my buddies have them and they like them, just be sure to seal the electrical connectors well as twice i've seen a puddle stop the bike for 10 minutes or so until the connections dried out.
  22. just blew top end after 1/2 hour with new trinity 2 into 1 setup, can i cry now??? after a few wide open passes to check the plugs, the motor just locked, cannot kick over motor, thinking rings are seized, can't start tear down until weekend to verify so all help is appreciated, carb came out of box with 190 main jet and 52 pilot jet, a friend said he thought he was running a 175 main with a 55 pilot in his similar setup, but not sure.. maybe bad info??? now it'll cost some coin to undo my new headache. grrrrrr....
