Hi everyone, it's been a while since I asked any questions so here it is, I have a desire to get new reeds for the shee, but should I go with just new reeds, or up grade to cages and reeds??? I personally think I should go with some new V-forces, but I see that the differences between the 2's and 3's are are very little in performance, just a different petal pattern between the two. If I was to get them which should I get and what is the expected life of teh petals??? Thanks.

Ihave K&N's on all my bike with no problems, just run a outwears and you should have no problems.

I run Maxima Super with a AV gas and super unlaeded kix with great results, at 36:1. Just another version of the same old oil debate.

Looks to be running fine, but the plug seems to be a bit dry. Maybe jump your main up some and down size the pilot some and see if you get a better burn and decrease your knock.

I run a 50/50 mix with super and av, with no problems. I do add a little more mix in since the av is so much drier than regular gas, and jetting has not changed. I have a stock motor with pipes and a noticable change between av and no av. Enjoy

I have not had any issues with my K&N fitler with Outerwares, maybe your filter was lube like some of thhe others guys suggested or you did not get enough grease between the prodeign adaptor and the air box or you have a gap between the two.

Boonman does really good work, same for Holy man, they both did some stuff for me. By the way Boon, I got some surface rust on my flywheel your just lightened, can I just use emorycloth to get it off and put a light clear coat finish on it to keep it from rusting, obviously keeping the magnet clear.

The J arms that are going to coming off have never been in the hard pack, sand only, so they are in good shape, not great due to sand wear but good, with no dents or anything similar to that type of damage.

My wife is getting new A-arms on her bike so I won't need the J arms, I could sell them to you if you can wait till I get the new ones??? Let me know

Try lubing the whole cable mechanism as well, and the spring thing is sweet, just be very careful.

Try FTMbiz.com, they handle Vortex sprockets and maybe able to get you one custom, or try to get a hold of TATs4life, he knows some good places.

I was wondering from all the members some questions about the airscrews. First off, when you screw it in, you just go til it stops turning obviously, right. Then when your tunring it back out as some members have 2.5 turns out, so that is two complete turns out with another half right??? Still trying to understand some the terminology you guys have and I am very weak when it comes to the carbs, but trying to get better. Thanks.

Led, I thought that the lead helped it run cooler than hotter???? If you could send me some info on that I would be happy to read it.

I wil throw down on the chain forum and say that RK's specific ATV chain is the best and lots of info out there to look at, I will be honest, two desert seasons and no problems...Enjoy

Like Sredish said it sounds lean by teh way the plug looks, but it should run like a raped ape on teh tops if it was lean, What is your mix rate, and I agree about your main, and maybe a slightly higher pilot Good luck

After talking to the wife, she says that the odd on odd slows the wear down on the chain and spockets since the wear is even for the system, while a even added in puts more wear on that sprocket since it hits the same spot more often than in a odd number. Hard to explain, I tried my best to explain, I can think about it and add more later.

Super unleaded, which is 91, is $2.55 a gallon in some places down top $2.45 in others. I like your prices in the Mass over the Cali....

Run yourself a odd/od combination, it will make your sprockets last much longer, per the wife who is the marketing manager for RK....

I second Ducmans statements on th gas, i run something similar with AV Gas and it works great, I found a quicker throttle reponses with the fuel as well.
