what part is the pilot jet? i probably havent done that. how do i check the reeds? i have no idea what there suposed to look like, could you post a picture? ill try to post a picture of my setup when i get me damn camera back. let me know those couple things, i think it could be one of those 2 things left. yes the hose between the two is connected. thanks for the help

hard to beleive its a 2001, lol. some people are just stupid. guys shows a pictur of the seat rip but not the crooked exhaust. 1,500 bucks not too bad if the frame isnt bent

thanks for the help. 1-6 done. gas is flowin,new plugs, 125psi compression,kill switch on, cleaned the jets( i took off the carbs and looked at them and from what i saw they were clean), just cleaned my air filter the other day. i can get it started but then it will quickly stall out, and when i hit the throttle it just stalls out faster and is harder to start. but i will only do that if the chock is on. is there only 2 aqdjustment screws on these carb because thats all i can see. i know it will start but i just dont know what do adjust. thank

is 40:1 the right mixture? i got all stock except for fattys ans powercore 2s. isnt it better to go a little more than a little less so you dont blow a piston or somethin like that?

how do i drain the gas from the carbs? i should i just disconnect the fuel lines going into the carbs? i think i would have to kick it for a while just to get the the new gas. thanks

ok i took of both carbs and cleaned them i took off the bowls on the bottom and looked for any dirt. there was just about no dirt on them, i didnt know exactly where to look but from what i saw there was no dirt. tommorrow im gonna see if i can pull it behind my brothers truck to see if i can get it started that way. i really dont under stand. but its definatly not getting enough gas. anything else i should do?

and i dont have the owners manual so i dont know where the main jet ism or the others.

my banshee wont start i think its the carbs. i dont think its getting gas. when i spray a little starting fluid in the engine is starts right up. but then stalls out. can someone paint me a picture on where to adjust the carbs and how much? im not familiar with the 2 carb setup. thanks

yes this is what i was looking for. how would you glug off the intake i dont see how that can be done. and where di put the 5 pounds of air in? the other intake? how would you get tight fit? i dont see how thats possable. please tell me, a buddy at my work knows how to do it on other machines but he said he doesnt know how to do it on a banshee. thanks

i dont have $200 for new plastics so i was thinking of painting them. is there any good paint that is cheap i could buy. do i have to sand the whole thing down with sand paper. is it worth it in the end or should i just put out the $200 or i think i saw some for 150? anyone done it. can you peal it off wwith your fingernale? thanks

i have an 5.6 IMS gas tank for sale. its in good condition. natural color. ill be able to post picture in a few days,( my brothers girl friend stole my camera about 2 months ago and i still havent gottin it back yet. if anyones interested let me know.

i want to do a leakdown test to see if i can solve my problem with it not starting. if you guys know how exactly its done that would be great.

the other day i looked at my pistons through the spark plug hole and i saw black plack on my right piston. i was wondering if there was a way to take it out and clean it with rubbing alchol or some thing. i want to use the same piston and ring because i dont have the money right now to buy new ones. is this possable? and is there a link that you cant point me in the right direction or could you explain it if its simple. thanks my bike is currently not starting, and i would like to fix it soon. thanks

i just bought a 99 banshee for 2200. its got a few things wrong with it but nothin majore as far as i can see so far. but the rear end is a mess the chain tensioners that keep pressure so the chain doesnt get loose is wabbling around. i would like to know how tight to keep it. thanks i know thats in the owners manual but i dont have one yet.

i have vernier calipers so that wont be a problem. i just dont know how many inchs 54mm and 64mm equils. maybe i can find a chart some where on here. thanks

i was wondering how i can measure if the engine has been bored or if its still the orignal bore. i know it has new high compression pistions but i want to know what size a stock bore is. are you may have noticed i have no clue what im talkin about. lol, if anyone knows anything that would be great. thanks

banshee04le, we need people like to to keep people in check. lol. to answer a few questions. i was going to set up a jig, and use Vernier Calipers to get my measuements, and tig weld it with a 316 SS electrode. unless its regulag steel or aluminum id use a different electrode. im good at tig welding. i was going to weld it on the 450 amp Miller Delta, unless its unavailable then any of the other welders will do. im not a hacker, if some one sends me there swing arm ill show you, if you can tell me where i welded it the the job is free, lol, j/k. this is my bosses shop. if i ask him if i could stay after work to work on a little prodject, unless hes buissy he always says yes. damn thats a lot of money i was gonna do it for $50. i think it would be cheaper just to buy a new swing arm but not from that place 500+ for a custom swing arm, and 140 to have it extended. well i guess if you have that kinda money go for it.

i can do that. it shouldnt be hard just cut and weld. if you just gave me the dementions you want to keep for your skid plates it shouldnt be a problem.

i seen a 99 banshee for 2400 pipes and silenced. new pistons and rings, and a jetted carberator. when i rode it though it pulled to the right. here is what i know. the frame didnt look bent but i didnt really take a close look at it. it pulled to the right and there was less air in the left tire so it would be worse if it was the same os the other. that chain is alligned good. it has been fliped over, he said so and the hanle bar is bent. he had to replace the a arms he said he was riding a wheelie and came down the wrong way and they folded like a pretzle. (im thinking that wouldnt happen but ill buy that idea) i was wondering could it be the tie rods or does that pretty much just allign the handlebars when your moving straite? couls it be the suspention, if one shouck is shot? if its not that im gonna assume its the frame. because it there is a simple fix to this stering thing im gonna check it oput again. but if you guys think the frame is bent then, ill keep my eyes open for another. thanks

i might buy it, whats wrong with it. i bet the transmission is broken huh? thats about a thousand less than what you COULD get for it, maybe ill buy it and sell it for 3100, lol
