na i havent got to take it out for a ride yet. but when i was puting it on paint was just coming off so easily, lol. all the paint that was at the end where i attached the silencers is gone. im hoping it will at least with standthe heat temp. if not im gonna strip it again and paint it with a bruch flat black. it took me almost 2 hours to prep the pipes and get all the rust off it so im not gonna waite for it to rust ill just hit it with the scotchbrite and re paint.

what puzzles me is that it starts even thought the wires are not crossed. it must be hot wired some where but i dont know where? i dont know if the key switch it turned on or not. could some one tell me where the key placement is? like on the switch there is a litle black plastic tab like it fits into a mount or something, should it be turned to the left or right? with the fat end of the key switch near that plastic tab? if you have no idea what im talkin about thats fine. i just dont know why its starting? lol, im not complaining just doesnt make sence. lol

i dont have the key to my key switch, i want to take it off but i found that it wont start if its not on there. i was wondering if i could shorten it and crimp the wires back together? will this mess upo the timeing with something or is it not a problem? i just dont wanna blow a piston doing something like this. thanks

never done it before and dont have a manual but hears what i would do. put it up on blocks. take off the shock and then take off the swing arm. while its off check the seals clean and greese them replace them if you have to. then put it back on.

mines got a minor leak too. im gonna see if some one can tell me how to take the shaft off to see if its bent or not. and get a new seal. depending on how old your shaft is if its warn then it could like shrink ya know? so you may need to replace it.

i got these light covers for trade. there in good condition no rips or anything, just a little dirt on it. ill clean them before i trade them if anyone is interested. im looking for blue ones or maybe another color.

painted them with the ceramic hight heat paint. chips very easily. but maybe i can extent the life of the pipes a little longer. i also did that flux cable thing not sure if ya can see it in the picture though. just to let you guys know that dupli-color 1200 deg ceramic paint chips off. i think the next time im gonna go with the stuff that you paint on with a brush. a buddy did that to his dirt bike exhaust and it held up really well.

im pretty sure the right cylender was not bored but but the left cylender has a new piston in it and i wanted to know if its bigger or not. if it doesnt say on the piston can i take some vernier(sp?) (the tool that measures in thousanhs of an inch) calipers and measure the top couple of inches to find out? or do i have to take the cylender off the ingine? also i can borrow a tourqe wrench from a guy at work to take it off and put it on. will i need to get a new head gaskett or can i use the same one? and there are numbers all over the head, what do they mean? the tourqe poundage? and is there a certaine order? i dont have the clymers manual so anyhelp would be great. thanks

your running lean, adjust the air screw so it not getting all that air. will it ride fine with the choke out?
-
i tent to post question before reading the gaq's . after i read that it says that at 0 1/8 its the ideling and air screw adjustment 1/4 to 3/4 its the pilot jet or somethin and 3/4 to wide open throttle id the main jet. so i come to the conclusion that its not getting enough air. ill adjust them air screws and let it idel and see what happens. im thinkin i might have a problem with the pilot jet too because it will go fine then kinda go at the same speed untill you get wipe lashed and have to put on a neck brace. i thought it should be more gradual. but ill just see how the plugs look at running at those differnt throttle positions. thanks for the help, i think im gonna see if i can find that chart. peace

ok the mains are 260. do i take the floater off to check the other one? its got white brothers boost bottle, fmf fattys pipes and power core 2 silencers. i dont know what altituded im at but im south of boston massachusetts, and have a compression of 125 psi with stock bores as far as i know. anyone know what kind of jets i should be aiming for? or is there a place that will have a chart or somethin? thanks

today i started up the banshee and let it run for about 15 minuters or so. then i just hit the kill switcgh and turned the gas off. then i checked the plugs and the side with the choke was coverd in gas while the other side was dry and kinda dark brown. i just took my carbs off and was wondering what could be the problem. on the side with the coke on that little tube that goes to the reeds gas a little gassy but i dont know if thats normal or not. where do i locate the numbers for jets? im just checking the main and pilots on these stock carbs right? thanks for any help.
