  1. cool. the rz comes with a temp gauge too which will come in handy during repeated drag races. I hate wiring though. But I think it will be worth it if I can find a cheap set of rz cylinders and everything else I need for the transfer.
  2. I guess I'll wait until june. BenBB, are you the guy doing the project rz shee on thebansheezone.com?
  3. the rz motor is far superior to the banshee's. the cooling openings on the head and cylinders are much larger on the rz and its got powervalves. I'm sure the rz has better porting than the shee does too. It must if it puts out over 20 hp more than a stock shee. It seems like the only parts you would need is the rz cylinders, servo motor, battery to open and close the powervalves, an altrenator to keep the battery charged, and the rz cdi unit. Why didn't yamaha just keep the rz components on the banshee's motor? They could have had a quadzilla killer. The banshee motor could have been so much better. None of the new four strokes could hold a candle to an rz powered shee.
  4. pros: two cylinders cons: two cylinders
  5. Sorry I haven't replied to this earlier. I was at little sahara the last two days. We checked the reeds and they seemed to be fine. We got the carbs in sync and it still didn't help anything. I guess we will check the float levels tomorrow and see if excess gas is leaking into the cylinders. I don't think that is the reason that it is running bad though. It isn't that hard to start it.
  6. we are at about 200ft elevation also.
  7. My step dad is running t-5s with a k@n filter and a vented airbox lid. He has 280 mains and the needle second from the top and stock pilots. The air screws are out 1.5 turns and it is running like crap. We have put the needle in all six spots and it runs about the same in every slot. The midrange is really bad. The top end seems to be fine but right before you get on the pipe the power goes flat. We switched out the toomeys with fmf's and it runs the exact same. Anyone have any suggestions?
  8. I'll be there this weekend. look for a black shee and a blue shee with a couple polaris quads. all on one trailer
  9. I'll due one tomorrow. When I was jetted with the 360's I had alot of blue smoke comeing out of the exhausts even after it was warmed up. Both the plugs were really dark too. It doesn't seem lean now though. I've ridden lean bikes before and they sputter on the top end and mine runs strong up top.
  10. get a wire brush and some chrome cleaner and clean away.
  11. I'm such a dumbass. When is was jetted my carbs (went down from 360's to 300's because the 360's were way rich) I forgot to put the tube back on between the 2 carbs. The flames were from the new packing that I just changed. Now it runs better than ever with the smaller mains and the freshly repacked silencers.
  12. the hardest part for me was putting in the circlips without droping them in the crank case and sliding the cylinders over the pistons without moving the rings out of the proper spot. ( didn't have a ring compressor)
  13. I just repacked my silencers. Maybe that has something to do with the flames.
  14. My shee is firing on the right cylinder only until you rev it to the moon. When the left cylinder does fire, it shoots flames out of the silencer. It justed started doing this today. I don't have a clue what's wrong. I changed out my plugs, ran a compression test, and I don't know what else to check. Someone help please.
  15. I'll be there the 13-15 of march. I'll be with my mom, sister, stepdad. Me and my stepdad have shees. His is blue with t-5's and mine has black maier plastic with fmf's and a few other mods. We will arrive saturday at around 4 pm and will be up for some night riding. My mom has a scrambler and my sister has a trailboss.

  17. I was checking out the porting 103 section on offroadhaven.com and this stuff is mind blowing. It's not just going in there and making stuff bigger. There is a ton of science behind it. Does anyone know what I can go in and do on my banshee safely with a dremel tool? Would it be safe for me to widen the exhaust ports a couple millimeters? Anything that I can do for my intake ports?
  18. rockymountainatv is all out of them till april and I really want one bad. does anyone know where I can get one before april?
  19. maybe sometime in spring break
  20. race on the street. rev your motor high and dump it in second. Your rear tires should break loose before the front end comes up. you will leave that rappy behind from the start. Raptors can't launch hard without the front end coming up. don't miss a shift and you will win pretty easily.
  21. What tracks do you ride at. I frequent three tracks. There is this track in humble near the gatti town that I go to sometimes. They have 3 tracks at this place and miles of trails behind the tracks for your non racing family members. They maintain the kiddie track and one of the of the adult tracks. The track they maintain is a good track to learn the basics of jumping on and is pretty fun. The other track has some nice table tops but it is really rutted out. I wish they would smooth it out some. Admission is $15 a day per rider and helmets are required. Another track I go to is this track in Splendora. This track has by far the most quads there. Every time I have gone there I have seen a few raptors, a predator, and a few yfz's. The riders here are pretty good. Alot better than I am. There are some huge jumps here and a a nasty whops section. there is also a rythm section. this track gets kinda rough as the day goes on but it is a good place to ride at. aAdmission is $10 a day per rider and helmets and boots are required. The last track that I go to is in Conroe. They have three tracks here as well. They have the kiddie track, a supercross type track, and more of an open mx track. The supercross track is for serious racers only. I stick to the open mx track. There are some absoutely beautiful tabletops on this track as well as really high berms and a couple rythm/whoops sections. It is my personal favorite track out of all the places I go to. The bad news is that I don't see many quads here. The admission here is $15 a day per rider and helmets are required. I want to see so more quad riders so send me a pm when you want to go riding at one of these tracks.
  22. that is the sickest picture I've ever seen. I have been traumatized. I don't think I'll be able to get an erection this whole week now.
  23. What's makes a fat ass horny? looking at a cook book what's rarer than only 1 mexican in a chevy pick-up? a catholic priest that hasn't had his dick in a little boys ass.
  24. Do you like the commercials or hate them. I Like them. It's better than seeing Jared on the subway commercials. I'm sick of him.
  25. the 14th and the 15th of march
