I'll be there too. My poor shee is gunna have to run against drag ported 400cc shees because some of my mods weren't bolt on only. It will still be fun though. -
160 in both hopefully by the end of this weekend.

Choke 1/2 Out Great.choke In Bad!
roosthrower replied to BansheeBrian's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
here is a suggestion. this may sound stupid but maybe you forgot to attach the tube that keeps the carbs in sync. -
it sounds like your friend forgot to attach the tube between the two carbs that keeps them in sync. this will cause one cylinder to run extremely lean. did the shee run like shit before it locked up? did it sound like was hitting on one cylinder only? I think when I ran without the tube my left cylinder was the one that was running like shit.
-
I read on macdizzy that the single carb does infact feed both cylinders for a small period of time. Two stroke motors reeds don't get closed off as fast as most think they do. The reeds will still be open in some cases 90 degress ATDC while the other banshee cylinder is at 90 degrees BTDC for the normal intake-compression stroke. Two carbs will always produce more power than a large single for this reason. Imo each cylinder deserves its on carb.

Atv Beach Races In Galveston Texas
roosthrower replied to 98bonerSTOCKshee's topic in Riding and Events Forum
to race on the mx track you will need to have a kill switch, nerf bars, boots, and a helmet. I'll probably show up to this event. Here is a link:link -
They have figured out the classes. You have to keep on reading. It is a long thread. All the info you need will be in that thread. As far as the three wheeler goes, I'm sure that you wont get hassled about it. They have two tracks. They are both dirt. One is 300ft. and the other is an 1/8 mile (660ft).

I thought that the banshee accelerated faster than a tecate 4 as well. It was the fastest of the 250's for sure though. Didn't yamaha make the banshee to absolutly destroy the 250's back in 87.
-
if it really did have 43 horses, wouldn't it have the best power to weight ratio in the quad world? meaning it would be the fastest accelerating quad ever. I could have sworn that stock banshees were and still are faster than stock tecates.

anyone who has ever been there know what I'm talking about.

I Raced A Honda 450r Over The Weekend
roosthrower replied to SICK BOY's topic in General Banshee Discussion
those new 450 thumpers are FAST from the factory. but there isn't much to mod on their engines since they are so hopped up from the factory. you can't really port the heads cause there aint much to port. it has all been done from the factory. all there is for them is cams, higher compression pistons, and displacement increasing mods (big bores/storker cranks). -
if anything the rz would be the better powerplant for racing. powervalves, better cooling, and more horsepower make it better than the original banshee motor. and mods for the banshee will work on the rz350 since they are pretty much the same motor.

No can do. I am already member of too many boards. I don't need another one. -
My fmf gold series pipes don't ping like all the other piped banshees I've ever heard. It sounds in between a four stroke and a two stroke. I do have some wierd silencers though. They are actually made by white bros. Is it the pipes or the silencers that are making my shee sound different then most others?

here is a link there will be plenty of non class racing too. the drags will be 300ft dirt.

trick is in the houston area. -
dodge is the only way to go for a diesel truck. cummins kicks ass and so does the 600ftlbs of torque the new dodge diesel makes.
