Lesser quality aluminum as in a lesser grade? Yea, if the shoe don't fit then its garbage. If I were in the market, I would buy mattoon, but besides extra reinforcments that mattoon may have, aluminum is aluminum if they are both using the same grade i.e. 6062, 5051, 3003 whatever. One cant be THAT much better than the other. edit: as far as strength. The Mattoon looks 8000x better without a doubt.
