  1. Have you ever tested that theory? I'd be interested to know how far off you really are. You need to take into account the "leverage" applied with the wrench that you dont have with the weight. Get the right tools, even a lowend torque wrench is better then nothing and you can use it for alot of other stuff.
  2. Title pretty much says it all. When I start the bike and shift into first w/ the clutch disengaged if feels as if the clutch is "partially" engaged. The arrows on the lever and case are lined up. Any ideas what causes this?
  3. Measure the retainer and you'll get your nut size .
  4. Answer is yes, you need to rejet. I'm in the middle of jetting for the same "mod". Heres a website which you should take a look at: Jetting FAQ
  5. Maybe this will help: **Sorry this image I trieds to attatch is too large 82.5Kb vs the alloted 50Kb. Its the wire diagram, email me [email protected] and I can send it over.
  6. Cheaper than $3.95? Sounds pretty cheap to me. Where does your father work?
  7. Take a look here: Holyman Tech What 2 Look For In A Used Banshee.
  8. Thanks Boonman, those were exactly the forms I filled. The guy behind the DMV counter had no idea they existed and I'm SURE that is the case with many other people. Feels nice to get a little weight off the sholders .
  9. I sucessfully registered my machine w/o a title this past Thursday with the DMV. They gave me the plate w/ sticker and said I'll be recieving the title in a few weeks.
  10. Stereo Review tested both systems last year in a side-by-side. They compared reception, sound quality and some other things. Basically they rated Sirus as the better system with the least amount of dead spots and distortion but the difference was almost hardly noticable. You need to look into the hardware first because that will determine what service you can get.
  11. NYUK, I sent you a PM.
  12. I'm thinking straight back like Superman . It looks like a wicked ride.
  13. A 600lb "racing machine". .
  14. Got the shed for about $40 w/ tax. Put her inside and I cant close the doors completely . Oh well, thought it was gonna work.
  15. What does it smell/feel like?
  16. To be honest with you, I am very skeptical when it comes to dealerships both automotive and otherwise. I could not see myself having a dealer do anywork for me unless it was work being done under a warrenty. I've only been around 22yrs but I've seen enough to know exactly why people refer to them as "stealerships".
  17. After reading what appears to be BenBB's webpage on jetting it looks like im going to be increasing the mains anywhere fom 5-7 sizes over the stock 200s. I picked up a set of 250s, 260s and 280s (the dealer did not have any 270s at this time). The guy at the parts counter said that he thought it was alot for my mods (filter and removed snorkle) and that when they pipe a Banshee they only increase 1 or 2 main sizes. So between those, the new filter and most likely a removed snorkle hopefully I'll be able to get her jetted correctly.
  18. As of now its completely stock, no mods what so ever, (engine wise anyway).
  19. Street Legal Banshee
  20. I am running a stock 2002 Banshee and recently purchased a Noss adapter plate with the K&N filter and pre filter. I was trying to do my research so that I would have a better idea about what jets I needed to change when it became time to install this thing. Well it came today and I was removing stock filter to get a feel for how the new one goes in but in the process or removing it, I snapped the white plastic clips off the top of the stock filter frame . I'm about 20 feet above sea level over here and I'm not sure what jets need to be changed. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -Sean ***Stock airbox w/lid and snorkle.
  21. Well you succeeded, he ended his auction.
  22. Like banshee boy 98 said, the caps should have 5000 ohms of resistance.
  23. I havent gotten to do this yet or even see it but by looking through the Clymer's it appears that there is a bearing retainer that must be removed first by either using Yamaha's SST YM-01327 or making something similar using a 30mm nut and bolt.
