I just recently bought a cool head for my shee and i was told that stock is 23 and the guy told me to put 21 in there and it runs great. I just got done tearing the motor down and the pistons looked good. he told me that when i go to get it ported that i should move down to 19.
the tripple cyclinder that is put in banshee's alot is from a motorcycle. It's the 1972 kawasaki 750cc tripple 2-stroke, air cooled. It's nick name is the "water buffalo". They're not that easy to find.
i have a blue shee with most of the cloth things like the shock covers and nerf bar nets, stuff like that are black. I put orange in there for my trim color.
I've got fmf sst pipes brand new and the first ten min. out on them and i looked down and there was this big black blop! I've been told to use a chrome pollish and fine steel wool, and that won't scratch the pipes. What is the best thing to use to get the crap off my pipes. does w-d 40 and mothers work to clean the pipe? I've got mothers and have always used it but wd would give off some protection. I just tried old english on my casings and it came out better than mothers. its a metal pollish though, would it work on chrome?
I've been thinking about buying a hotrods 4mm longrod stroker crank. The guy at wiseco told me that's what everybody's useing and it's a quick selling crank. He also said that it puts the displacement over 400cc. Just use the 795 series pistons and the spacer plate.
I recently bought fmf sst pipes and the first day I had them something rubber melted on them. There's a couple of other spots to. What is the best way to clean these.
If i did get a 7 or 10mm crank, i would have to get the casings modifid, bigger carbs, like 34mm, and some port work done. What advantages would this crank give me over the smaller one?
how much more power will you get out of a 7 or 10mm crank as opposed to a 4mm crank and do you have to get the crank case modified for this particular mod?
I,m looking to get the most power out of my banshee. I want to replace the crank with a performance crank. I,ve heard about 4mm long rod crank's, stroker crank's, etc. Can somebody tell me some diff. crank options and what the gain would be?
My cases are split and I'm trying to get the most power out of the motor. I was thinking about trinity's 420 big bore kit. does anybody know anything about this kit?
What would be the best big bore kit to go with?
I already have the cases split and stripped and half way pollished with old english polish. Is the only diff. between the rz350 and the banshee shift forks the bearings in the rz? Can I use the rest of the banshee parts, like the shift cam or do I have to replace all the tranny parts? Are all the rz years the same?
I have been told that you can switch the shifting ass. from a yamaha rz350 to a banshee because the shifting forks have bearings and the shifting is much easier.
Has anybody ever done this switch? How does it work?
