  1. I use a boring bar to do cylinder boring as it has 10 inch stroke, you set up once and remove material from the bore in one full stroke. Most boring bars/heads using with a milling maching have trouble doing longer than a 4" stroke so you must move your setup and get it exactly reset again. I'm not saying it can't be done, just a huge pain, and done much easier with a boring bar.
  2. I was there every year through 2003 when the put a kabosh on the drag racing. I heard 04 was a dud as well. It would be cool if it was a big deal again.
  3. I'd use the silicone for the exhaust as well. JB weld won't stand the temp of the exhaust.
  4. If it doesn't go through I would be interested in the whole roller as well. Please send a picture to [email protected]
  5. How bad are the grooves? Do they go from the water jacket to the dome area to outside the cylinder? Even so I would put it back together using JB Weld, let it set for a day, and give it a try. Watch the coolant level while you do it just to be sure.
  6. Are we talking O-rings from a cool head? I would use JB weld and epoxy the head on.
  7. Crank true and weld usually runs between $75 and a $100. While you're at it with the crank, might as well get the cases matched. A lot of times a good new set of clutch springs will save from buying a clutch later.
  8. While you're at it, I would remove the top case half and match the cylinders with a new gasket and the top crankcase. Get the crank trued and welded. I wouldn't mess with the ports on the bottom of the cylinder. Widen the exhaust port and straighten things up would be a good idea too.
  9. Check out the link as its now on sale with e-bay. It is a 2.5 w/USFS spark arrestor. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMESE%3AIT
  10. I'd buy a +4 crank first. They do have better bottom end power and about a 1/3 the price as a new 400 monoblock kit.
  11. The monoblock kits use o-rings for head gaskets. You should have one large one for the out side and two smaller ones for the dome to mate with the cylinders. They may also have included a couple for the domes to insert into the head.
  12. $165 shipped, brand new and never used. I sold my T-5's and went with different pipes. Bob.
