You lack the ambition to even scratch the surface on the meaning of scripture. You don't comprehend the allegory and symbolism or historical context of it, but that isn't even important. What is important is if your heart is right with God. If there is a place of innocence and purity left in your heart Jesus will find it and you will accept the message. If you cannot salvage a place of innocence and purity, without contempt, somewhere in your heart for God, then it is your loss. Most of us can. If nothing else go back to your childhood and find a redeeming moment, cherish it and thank God for it.

What if the souls are kickin it in heaven flying around and knowing all things are wonderous or whatever and God calls some up and says it's come around to you again...I got some bodies to fill and it's your turn...I love you and I'll see you soon. No sir. The Christian "talmud" is not called doctrine/dogma, it is called The New Testament and it is not based on asinine extremes of exegesis. It is based on Jesus.

Actually I mispoke also. The jewish people call the first 5 books of the old testament the pentatauch (sp?) and that combined with the talmud (jewish oral interpretation) comprise the torah. My point was that a knowledgeable Christian (that is not a requirement and I am not saying that you are NOT a knowledgeable Christian and I'm not saying that I am) would never equate the jewish talmud (not scripture) to the old testament (true scripture) and I was very surprised that you did not distinguish this. We could open up a really nasty can of worms over the talmud if we wanted to but I don't see anything positive that could come from it so I won't pursue it. The jewish talmud in fact negates the Christian view of scripture.

You are partly correct but also very incorrect. The torah is the first 5 books of the old testament. The talmud is something completely different. The talmud is jewish rabbinical ORAL INTERPRETATION of the torah. That is to say, the talmud is what the rabbis THINK the torah means. Jesus was against that type of oral tradition wasn't He rkc (against recording and passing down these interpretations as if they were themselves scriptural)?

I sort of understand what you are saying rkc but I can also show you the circular logic of the bible that will always disprove those who are wise in their own eyes yet prudent in their own sight. I had a very hard time learning this and I will always call God Jesus with a very humble fear of the Almighty, yet I have no fear defending what Jesus IS, a spirit, as is God; the same Spirit. Does that make sense? You can't put God in a box and if you say God must be called Jesus then you have named the ineffable name and Jesus never did that. Jesus said that ONLY He knows who the Father is and only the Father knows who Jesus is. The other part will mess you up if you aren't careful...and he to whom Jesus will reveal him. I turn it over to God. I don't have to reach any certain mark of perfection or understanding. Jesus already did that for me and as soon as I think I am right, I am surely wrong because it says in Hebrews "let God be true but EVERY man a liar, as it is written that thou might be justified in thy sayings and overcome when thou art judged". I accept Jesus as my Lord and saviour. Does that make sense?
