Arent there valves in a diesel engine? Humm wouldn't it seem that perhaps the closed valves in the compression stroke would slow or "brake" the engine if verry little fuel were added? Damm your stupid...

I'm a service writer at a car dealership. Basically I get bitched at by customers pissed off at their cars (I guess they think I made their car) I also have to deal with technicians, most of whom in my shop are wine asses.

how do you advance the timing 5 degrees? is this something that can be easily done for little or no money? thanks you can get get a +4 degree key from vitos for about $20 or some where else or have you stock timing plate modified someone on the hq does this, or buy a aftermarket timing plate for about $80. how much power does this make? it it worth the time/$? sorry to get off topic here, but I was just wondering.

how do you know if its formulated for a wet clutch? does it say on the bottle? is trans fluid formulated for a wet clutch? Holyman says that using tractor trans fluid, the trans shifts more solid and I find neautral easier (I want that!!!) the owers manual dosn't say to use trans fluid, it this a good idea?

couldn't you "test" the stator by kicking it over with the headlights on, if they light up the stator works if not your problem is elseware... Back to your org. problem, I've had it a few times where the top of the plug (where the plug wire attaches) comes un screwed and dosn't make a good connection. good luck.

My rear pads are getting thin and I think I'm going to have to change them before this summer. Has any of you guys changed your brake pads? Is there any tricks/snags that I'll run into? I've done brakes on cars lots of times, but never on my banshee. Whats the best kind of pad to use? Do I need to "turn" or scuff up the rotor at all? Its all gorved up from riding in the sand dunes. Thanks in advance for your help.

I got a 2003 F150 FX4 super cab (oh man its sweet) and a POS trailer. I'd like to get a school bus, gut it and make it into a quad hauler/motorhome. it would be good for long trips and it wouldn't cost much. you can get a good used school bus for around $1,500.
