I dont see a problem, If you got most of it out. I rebuild them all the time and use 2 stroke oil and run it in the pin bearing and rod down to the crank. you can try flipping it on it side also, the whole bike that is.

I have the vito super stock and they seem to be holdin up. I believe that I feel a sizable difference.

I have a shee with toomeys and its jetted. vented air box. I smoke those suckers all day long. they some times get me on the take off, once she bites though seeya. I dragged a dude on a yfz 450 and he had a pipe, i dont know what else he was running, I beat him a few times and he got me a few times. Seems that once he got in fourth he was pullin away or catchin up. Im sure a shee with other mods would have smoked him all day long -
klotz here. 40 to 1. besides the smell its seems to burn clean. Personally I think Yamulube bites. I ran amsiol for a while hard to get where Im at. One palce carrys it and its mighty expensive

when i first got my shee I fell in love head over heels. put pipes on, jet kit, invested in some paddles. Serviced it up, cleaned the STOCK filter and went out to PISMO dunes. Rode my heart out for about 3 hrs came back to camp and shee was sweatin. Drank some cold ones and she wouldnt start. finally it fired but running like crap spittin fire out of one pipe. Got home and to my surprise sand EVERYWHERE. 400 dollars later she runs like a dream. New prodesign filter with adapter and vito super stockers and alot of cleaning. Did the work all myself with the help of this awesome site

question about vitos super stock pistons
juldan1 replied to STLbanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods

I did a top once and put the slides in the wrong way and I was stumped for a day or two then I found this site. Check them again thats what it sounds like to me

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Yeah I was thinking more like a service shop, that stocked some of the more popular items, like pipes, jet kits, etc. I just thought that I should give it a try. I have the tools and the space covered. I steadily have a bike here that Im working on and make a few bucks. Its all pretty much word of mouth and I have had people call me that Ive never met. I kinda wonder when a guy goes to the stealership and buys a 600.00 kit and they want to charge him 200 to install the son of agun. They come over to me and I charge them half that some times less. I guess the biggest thing is I want tobecome self employed and do what i love. I haul hay for a living and it really kills me to go to imperial valley and see all the setups going to glamis.

I wanted to know what kind of prices the dealers and business owners get. I want to know if you make the duckets on the labor. Just been thinking about it alot.I have a market for repairs and peple adding mods and what have you. Theres one store here that has the market cornered and I believe iF there was a guy that could charge a little lower on the labor and parts, etc

I have beat a couple and a couple have beat me. I like em both but hey I love the shee

get a clamp on and clean out your box from time to time. Grease sure sounds messy
-
I relocated the bottle to the front, packed the sides of my radiater with styrafoam and use water wetter. no more problemos
-
well I aint no expert and I surely aint no pro mechanic, but from experience "YOU DONT WANT ANY DIRT OR SAND IN THOSE BOOTS" cause if there is then it got into your engine and did some damage if not alot. You may not notice it but there will be premature wear. Run both of the filters if anything get rid of the lid or cut the lid. Its double walled on the top. I cut the bottom of the lid, put some vents in that sucker and hold on. I got the vents with a kit that I bought from toomey, but I have seen them at my local dealer

Looking for a site or someone that has one. Some comparisons and questions

I run the prodesign adapter kit with the foam. Works damn good. You could vent the air box and go up a couple main sizes.
