  1. im looking at some +2 +1 jassens a arms and works triple rate shocks with rezzies used.... The guy said he would sell the combination for 740 dollars... i however don't really want to spend that much.... Do you think it is worth it for me to spend most of my money on these or not???
  2. Thanx everyone you have all been a great help... I'm looking into getting getting a second set of rims with possible 18 inch holeshots onthe rear and 20's on the front... im also looking into getting some half decent front shocks something i an afford because at this point my stock shocks mine as well not even be there.. As far as the a arms go they aren'nt my highest priority... thanx once again
  3. thanx everyone who replied about my shock and a arm question but does anyone have any recommendations about racing with 22 inch realtors for rear tires.. i hear a lot of people race with 18's and that is a far shot from 22's..
  4. Hey broke you have a Rz motor thats goota be sick wit the power valves.. is there a big difference with the power valves versus the regular banshee motor?? well anyways back to my opinion about the reeds... i vote v force... sure they are expensive but not compared to most mods and they give you one hell of a snap... also you can get them for like 195 dollars brand new off ebay....
  5. Well, the stock clutch will go eventually but in most of my cases i don't replace things like that with aftermarket parts until they need to be replaced... Bigger carbs are not needed but if you do get them look for some pretty big power gains with those mods... also if you don't have them already i highly reccommend v force reeds....
  6. Sounds good i have thought about it myself because the tach for my dads outboard two stroke boat motor works the same way and was going to use one of those but i would need a battery.. that is the problem... Acid batteries are cheap but leak when you do alot of jumping while gel batteries can be pricey... Then even if you can afford the battery it is extra weight added to your quad... But then there are the possitive affects of the battery like your headlights will no longer die down when its not revved up.... So ya see a tach for a banshee can have positive affects and negative its all what you want i guess... I had wanted one for drag racing but no longer have the need for it for i am getting into motocross... I know quite a few people who might be interested tho so let me know and you might be able to make some good money of your design...
  7. I agree with everything Raxen said but would also recommend V force reeds for some cheap serious power gains..
  8. I need a full set of +2 +1 a arms if any one has them cheap either new or used.... And i am also looking for a cheap pair of elka shocks that are set up for a MX rider who weighs around 150- 160 pounds... thanx
  9. i would also like to add that currently i have pure sport realitors on the rear of my banshee.... i love them for turns cuz i can go into a turn fast and my rear end just slides instead of gripping and causing me to flip.... I hear everyoen talking about holeshots and stuff for MX but i am afraid that if i get them my quad would flip more often considering that i have a stock axle, stock a arms and currently stock shocks..... Any recommandations regarding this topic would be great.. thanx again Chris
  10. hi everyone... im 16 and and have a 2000 banshee with a few mods (listed) .... i plan to race mx this spring and have been doing a load of practicing.... im looking into definitely getting front shocks and a second set of rims and tires cuz currently i have 22 inch tires on the rear which i have been told are way to big for mx... but do you think it is a must to get extended a arms also? ((i do a great deal of trail riding on the side so extended a arms aren't really that practical for me plus i don't really have the money)) thanx chris
  11. I have quite a few questions about porting so if you could answer any of the following that would be great thanx... 1.) Do you have to have stage 1 porting done before stage 2 or 3? 2.) What stage porting is best for a trail/mx/dune rider who plans to add a 4mm stroker along with the porting? 3.) Who does good porting at a reasonable price? 4.) How good is the porting done bya guy from Hy -tech performance they auction of porting jobs on ebay at very reasonable prices? Do you think i would be taking a risk having done by this guy on ebay or not? Responses to any of the previous questions would be great thanx alot..
  12. I have a 2000 banshee with fmf fatty pipes, pro design intake, v force reeds and some other goodies.... I do a combination of duning and trail riding and am looking for mods that i can perform that will give me a strong top and bottom end... currently my top end is stock and so is my crank... I plan to put in some vito's pistons this winter and maybe a Trinity Stage 5 head.... Well neways my main question is whether or not i should put a stroker in it while im at it.... I've heard all the stories of people seriously screwing up there quads(having the crank seperate) so i was wondering i it is worth it for me to spend the money on getting a stroker crank and having trued and welded??
  13. i do a combination of riding from trail, duning to drag racing and am looking to upgrade my carbs from the stock mikuni 26mm.... Does anybody have any recommendations for a carb that would serve well as an all around reliable carb? I was thinking of going to keihin pwk 28 mm but would they put out that much more power than the stock carbs? Anyone who knows anything about the pwk 28 or anyother carb that would serve welll as an all purpose carb please reply.... Thanx
  14. Yes he is right raptor hubs are the same as banshee and warrior and can also fit on the blaster axle however they are not the same as the blaster stock hubs.....
  15. Does anyone out there know how to wire a battery into a banshee? I was thinking of remounting my coolant reservoir bottle and mounting the battery in place of the coolant reservoir bottle and then wiring the battery into the system somehow... The problem is im shaky on how to wire the battery does anyone know??? im doing this so that my lights don't dim at idling rpms and so i can wire in neon lights and be able to rum them with the quad of for short periods of time.... Any ideas would help... thanx....
  16. I've been researching tachometers for a long time now and my mind is set on wiring a motorcycle tach into my banshee... I want to do it but im not sure how or if it is possible... I know u can get digital tachs for quads but i don't like them because they break to easy....... Do you have any ideas on how to wire a motorcycle tach into my banshee? (i was thinking of using the tach off of a rz350) if anyone could help me that would be great........ thanx
