  7. hi,i ride a streetshee in germany, now over here ur not allowed to tune or even add aftermarket pipes, people do but it looks so obvious to the cops when they see chrome or shiny pipes, now i want aftermarket pipes but they must be black and maybe look original, anyone know of someone who makes em?
  8. ok,maybe i got it guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive put 2 small hose clamps on the pipe between carbs, seems to hold them a little tighter, its dead fiddly an awkward to do,tried the water test, seems ok,will see over the next few days,my shee lives outside with a cover over her,the air is very damp here at moment so if shes gonna stick then it will be soon,i keep ya posted.....................................
  9. sorry guys,i understood he meant clutch case! ok,im a twat
  10. please keep the bad language down, dont use such a terrible word as yfz450! four stroke!ha ha,dont forget banshees bin king for 16 years, not beatable, simple, sorry but thats how it is. and from where has the 450 stolen its name? yfz 350 "2 stroke",why didnt they give it an original name like "phut phut",its not worthy of being called "yfz",if it was a 2 stroke then fair enough. all banshee fans please be with me and dont insult the legendary shee by calling the 450 the yfz!!! buy a shee, dont regret waistin ur money.
  11. hopefully there isnt any oil in crankcase,u mean gearbox, simply drain oil(underneath motor 17mm spanner),as for water pump cover, shouldnt have to drain anything, somebody please correct me if im wrong? cover only covers the pump. seeya.

  15. some very good ideas, personaly i now think it could be something to do with moisture or the choke tube? was fairly wet air both times when it happened,i see what happens thismorning, thanks guys for lots of effort and help,hq is the best forum!!!
  16. last week had carb prob on my 2003 shee, throttle stuck open and then died and only just ran around tickover for max 15 seconds,so stripped em,cleaned(although didnt see a trace of dirt) but noticed on the slides where they had contact with carbs was rubbed in places(slides are a sort of black paint coating?) anyway, put her together, took a 150 mile trip,no probz then thismorning on way to wk the throttle stuck open again!!! cables are perfect free, now im wondering if the scrapes in the paint on slides are not (sometimes)letting the slides return again properly? does anyone know the prob or a trick on what to do? have thought about putting a stronger spring or another one as well in the slides, good idea or bad? by the way, tors is removed, have twist gas and idle kit. please help cos i nearly killed myself thismornin, was cornering very fast on a real twisty road when stuck open,my trousers need washing now sorry people i think i put this post in wrong section?! i pay attention next time.
  17. dont think so,no noises at all, power is good,at weekend i measure compression,u mean top end every 60 hrs? have now about 6-7000 miles on her,(hard miles!) watcha think?
  18. what i mean is,i dont want her to blow up in the middle of nomans land, would like to keep her in top shape, how long should a hard worked crank last on the street?would like maybe to port and polish her too, anybody heard of stan stevens tuning in england?
  19. hi there, ive got about 11,500kkm on the street with my shee,im not a soft rider, basicly i hammer her a lot,(every day like u should do,its good for the nerves!) and am thinking about doing a top end rebuild anyway in the next 2-3000km,my question is,is it worth doing the crank at same time? i look after her but shee must work for a living!
  20. just check out the net, lowering kits are available for front and back,no welding just bolt in an go! try durablue or look at the top of this website, big advertisement crj performance. or the other way is different shockz, more expensive but worth it.be carefull about the chain roller if u go very low,i broke mine 2 times, now i left it off,no probs. seeya.
  21. hi holyman, twist throttles are only cheap anyway,so buy a new one and break it! what do u want to experiment with?
