  1. You don't really believe that, do you????? I know a lot of people that'll lose even on their yfz450's. I'll ask them to race it and walla, I win the drag by 2-3 quads... Did the motor all of a sudden get more power when I got on it??? If you take 2 shees and put just pipes on them and race them, then swap riders and race again....Most of the time, the rider will win, not the shee. Riders make more differences then different pipes... I agree the driver is important. I don't trust a whole lot of people to ride my banshee so I don't switch riders often.
  2. Yeah thats why I use the trail tech speedometer
  3. I agree 100% that whole magizine is about 4 strokes, I hardly see anything about banshees in there.
  4. sandstar: I have fairly large jars full of sand from each dune I have been too. Each time I see these pics........... I too get that feeling in my gut. 52 days, 22 hours, 49 minutes, and 12 seconds left until Thanksgiving at Dumont! Me to, but I'm counting down to Thanksgiving at Glamis
  5. Get out!!!! Anyways, you need no mods, just look below!!! Thats sounds like some bull-shit to me, no offense As for the top speed probally about 85-89mph, with my old school pipes I can do mid 80s in sand.
  6. For what I've heard "Jet Crash" is out in the closed part of the dunes, across the road. if you want to see it you'd have to walk. Nope the wumps don't usually go down too much in the summer.
  7. Your success is probably due to the limited # of races you've run.Everyone loses a race now and then.Stalling, poor traction, not enough throttle, uncontrolable wheelies count as losses too.Unless your the type that only count races in which you get a good start or your a "Cherry" picker If I counted mine like that I'd be undefeated too. I don't know about that,I've ridden a few machines that were more like 90% motor 10% rider. If you could keep it down and manage to hold on,you were definitely a winner. If somebody wants to race me, I never say no,( except for one time but I relized it was a joke). When I race I do the best out of three, that way there is no bitchin about why they lost. I'd say I've raced a good 40 times, but about 25 of them are that I race over and over again because they refuse to admit I beat them. The reason I posted this is because I wanted to know if this success is because of my weight or the pipe. If it because of the weight I might need to change. If you want to see some pics of my banshee and the pipes just click on the link in my signature. ( my ride )
  8. I see, is it worth seeing ?
  9. For that kind of riding I would recommend good all-around pipes like the Fmf fattie or the Tooney T5. What's your budget?
  10. I've been seeing alot of adds for this and it seems kind of funny. Anyone seen this movie? For people who don't know, this some comedy movie involving zombies.
  11. Wow you guys make Glamis sound like a Hell-hole. Look ever since they closed down Comp and Olds at nights, its not even half as crazy as it was before. I've duned at glamis my whole life, and I've seen the drunkeness develop over time. But now they only places that are full of em, is the store, the dust bowl, Pad 2 and 3, and the flats. Those are they places that most the idiots park. We however park in the Road Runner area, thats a more family orented place.
  12. All I got is about 500 but that all change
  13. Let me guess it happened to you?
  14. Yeah I agree my friend poured about a grand into his 400ex, piston, pipe, fan, cylinders ect. And he lost against a piped Z400 bad. ( I'm not sure exacally what he has on his 400 because he was so pissed off he wouldn't talk too much about it)
  15. Yeah my top speed now ( in sand, drag) is about 85 mph.
  16. Thanx for all the info guys, I have just one more question. I am running stock with pipes and airfilter. In 6 months I am going to port and shave the head. When would be the best time to unhook the tors, before or after? Also I am having no problems now.
  17. Now that I own a banshee I don't think I can ever go back to a 4 stroke
  18. I've never owned a 400 ex so I don't know if I have one... I never riden a stock one to know the difference in power.
  19. Yeah my friends say that a unlimiter gives you more power and makes it easier to blow up
  20. I recentally purchased a 2001 400ex, I have no idea if it's stock or not . I was wondering if there is such thing as a rev unlimiter, if so how do I tell if it has one? I have had many people tell me it's real and many telling me that there is no such thing. Can you guys help me out on this?
  21. Is this your first quad?
  22. If you don't have money for a car, how are you going to build a banshee from the ground up?
  23. I bought a pair of old school fmf top end pipes about a year ago, since then I have been able to out perform t5s, fattys, Dmc, trinity, dg and a one sst guy. ( I've never lost a race ) I weigh about 165 pounds and I was wondering if this success is due to my weight or the pipes. Also I only ride in sand.
