  1. so, if Im right, it is a ford, with a dodge engine, and isn't an allison tranny in a gm truck? Its a frankenstein monster!!!HAHA
  2. Does anyone know if you can make a quad street legal in massachusetts? People say you can make it have only 3 wheels, a horn, lights and some other things to make them street legal. Any info will help!
  3. -2 is definitely the way to go
  4. if you ride trails and fields, there is no need for a +4, try a -2, its real easy to have done, especially if you have a friend thats a welder
  5. I run a 14-14 gearing ratio. The rear 40 is a Blaster sprocket. It makes the bike have more low end, but when climbing big hills I need to start in 2nd, and it whines high quick, so I need to shift while climbing. Its a good ratio for trails.
  6. Ive seen razr 2s go in sand on a raptor and a z400 and they went awesome. They get a lot of traction. the only problem with them on the raptor or the z400 is that the side walls bite too much and try to tip you over. On a shee they spin so much that i dont think youll have to worry about them. Oh, i forgot, I rode a shee with 400 kit, 38mm carbs, and clamp ons, and the 21 inch razr 2s went awesome. I also saw a shee with 22inchers, but it didnt go so good around corners.
  7. WATCH FOR STICKING THROTTLE!!!!! Believe me, your throttle will stick in the winter, you gotta be ready for it.
  8. a -2 swingarm doesnt make a banshee wheelie like you think it would, it just handles much better. If your riding in dunes do an extended, or if you hill climb. I'm going to be running a -2 climbing and see how it goes. A +4 would make a shee fell like a limo in a pit.
  9. I'm almost positive that your slides are reversed, switch them. Thats how they work when they're backwards, bad down low, and great up top. I have heard of many people doing that.
  10. 4 clutches!!!Thats crazy. I've gone through one because of a bad lever, but 4 clutches. I'm don't know if you do this, but when your bogging down low, and want to hit powerband, you shouldnt ride the clutch a little bit. Yopui know, pull the lever in like an inch to get the revs up. I dont know, maybe it is your tires. I'm not tring to be mean, I'm just tryin to save you money, time, and work.
  11. I'm not saying that you are like this, but when my friend got a banshee, he din't shift enough if you know what I mean, and he just climbed hills over and over, and the bike would get so hot that the antifreeze was boiling, you could hear it from a mile away(haha). I had to tell him how to shift it a little better. You also gotta bring it down a straight away every once in a while and get that cool air runnin through the radiator. You could also try the inline coolers.
  12. I agree with LedoftheZep. I have been running a stock swingarm for about 2 years now, and I rode a shee with -2 for 5 minutes and liked it much better. It does give more traction, but your not flippin over backwards all the time, it actually feels much better, because banshees feel nose heavy anyways. I decided to shorten my swingarm 2 inches, but I went the next step and put a round carrier conversion in like boonman did. I am in a welding shop at a technical high school, so I have all the tools right there. I just welded the carrier to the swingarm today, so I'll post pics a little later. The round carrier is abigger job, but I hate the stock chiain tensioner setup because it takes much longer than the round carrier, and my carrier mounts were crooked from a wierd landing off a jump anyways. You can get round carriers from Alloy Specialties for about $60, and I got a RAD carrier for $150, usually alot more but it had one little scratch in it. It's pretty easy to just shorten one two inches, especially if you make a good jig. mrmatt had pics on the new site if you havent seen them yet.
  13. You should just keep the bottle in the back, because it has a good chance of getting hit by something up front. If you have coolant going on your pipes, just get a longer hose to replace the one that comes down right above the pipes, thats what I did. I made it come all the way down to the bottom of the frame so that it doesn't go anywhere on the bike.
  14. pulling the packing out ruins the sweet sound of a screaming banshee. You don't want it all echoing and incredibly loud or anything. Personally, I like how the Toomeys sound with packing. But I don't know, its up to you.
  15. Oh, do you want me to post pics of my jig and the process of how I did it? I don't have any how to pics but I just welded it up today. I will post pics of the jig and swingarm when i'm done. I am doing it at my High School, its a Tech School, so I'll take pics when it gets home, probably this week.
  16. I don't know what you mean. What do you mean post them, they already are?
  17. I didn't mean that Banchetta said it WAS lean, I meant he said it wasn't. Thanks
  18. Thanks for all your help. I put 300s for jets in and it still did the same thing so its not lean, like Banchetta said. It was a good guess though. 94BansheeRider I think got it because I knew it was an electrical problem after I rejetted and nothing happened. Thanks to everone that helped!
  19. That looks really nice! I'm in the process of doing one of those round carrier conversions like Boonman did. Your pictures help me on where to weld the brake line holders. I shortened mine about the same amount, and right now i'm working on the jig to weld it. Thanks
  20. Oh, I forgot that it has the TORS eliminator kit on the top of the carbs, so the idle jet goes into the side of the carburetors, instead of in the big tors thing on top
  21. I know how to clean a foam filter , and the k+n. Thats not the problem though. The air screws are a 1/2 turn out now, but i'll try messin with those. Thanks for the tips.
  22. Hey, could you send pics. How much did you spend on em? Send to [email protected]. Thanks
  23. My banshee is sputtering right down low and into midrange. Top end it runs good on the top end. It has PC pipes, k+n filter w/ pro flo, adjustable ricky stator plate. The silencers aren't the 304's, they're the forrestry approved ones that have huge openings instead of the small ones like the 304's. Does anyone know what size jet I should have??It has 260's right now. The adjustable stator plate is on the stock position. What clip position should the needles be at??(how high should they be?) Please help. It ran awesome before with 260's and a foam filter and stock stator. I need to fix it ASAP
  24. The t6's just bend a lot more down right by where your legs are compared to the t5's. They are also huge pipes, they prob gets some serious flow. My friend just got them and all they did was make his shee run bad
  25. I haven't heard anything good bout the dyno port pipe, and it doesn't look to great either. It probably just makes it easier to work on one side of the bike by getting rid of 1 of the pipes.
