My friend had a Polaris that acted like that,and all that was wrong with it was a dirty air filter.I'd pull the filter off a clean it real good.

I don't know about their clutch baskets,but I ordered other things from them with no disappointments.I just ordered a billet basket made by Performance Engineering from www.motosport.com for $139.95 no tax,and free shipping.It comes with the basket,backing plate,screws,and cusions.I'll be getting it in the mail on Tuesday,and I'll post back with what I think of it.....

Buy your self a Clymer repair manual and a six pack,and you'll be shocked how easy it is.Just take your time,and label all the wires,hoses,and bolts you take off.If you get pissed off take a brake or quit for the day, 90% of the things I f*ck up or brake are done because I'm tired or getting pissed off.I learned its easier to just give up for a while,and come back to it later and its a lot easier.

I used the old clutch plate trick like fixitrod said it works great.And the impact wrench in the way to go.I tried to hold the basket and torque it to spec and I broke one of the fingers off the basket.I guess it was a good reason for me to order that new billet basket.

Hey they are cast,I ordered a set from them guys last week I should have them on Tuesday 11-11-03 I'll post back and let you all know how it went.Great prices I got the vito's power piston set(with bearings,pins,rings,gaskets,ect.) and two packages of silencer packing for $146.27 and that was with shipping.I'll keep ya posted.....

I use Motul transoil 10w30,and I have used the BelRay gearsaver.Both are good,no matter what you use keep it clean.
